gps tracking software

I have a GPS tracking device that only works for 30 hours. I need to erase the information that is on it, but don't have the software. Can the GPS be reset to delete information?

Depending on what type of GPS tracking device you have, not Knowing the brand it would be difficult.
I would say probably call the company that you purchased the tracking device from and as for support or a copy of the software to view the log file.
I am thinking you have one of those data tracking device that does not report your position on the internet, if you have one of those units, the information is stored in a server somewhere and who ever is tracking you can see you real time on a computer where you have been.
Best bet is to contact the tracking manufacturer to find out what is the correct process.

Save you time and energy i may agree with, but money -- be prepared to spend a few hundred. There are certain GPS devices out there that you may plug into your camera which will record the information with each individual photograph. However, a less costly way to go about doing things and the way I go about doing them when I go hike the barren planes of texas is simply take a GPS with me. If i take a photograph i think is significant i just look down at my GPS and write down the coordinates. I got mine for 150 at best buy, where i work as the digital imaging specialist.

I have a Blackberry Curve and I use Google Maps which I love by the way. The maps have a blue dot that moves as you move showing where you are. I like the idea but does anyone know of a service/application that will actually track in live time where I have been. I want to be able to retrace my steps if need be without having to upload a .kml file to a computer and login to a website. Does anyone know of anything that might help me out??

I run a company and am wondering if i can check where my employees are putting their cell phone number into a program or something and seeing where they are real time with out them knowing im doing this. With out actually having to put expensive devices in their trucks. Thanks.
SIMPLE PEOPLE. I WANT TO BE ABLE TO USE A CELL PHONE NUMBER AND FIND OUT WHERE THAT PHONE IS. LIKE THE COPS DO IF YOU CALL 911 THEY LOCATE IT. I DONT CARE IF ITS BY SHOWING YOU ON A MAP WITH A LITTLE STAR, OR GIVING YOU LATITUDE AND LONGITUDE COORDINATES. ANYTHING. DONT CARE IF ITS ILLEGAL JUST WANT TO KNOW IF THERE IS A SITE OR A PROGRAM.

Two problems with that

1) The location is only transmitted when one makes a call

2) It can be turned off easily, and visible only to 911

However, Verizon offers the "Chaperone" service which may be what you want to see. It does cost $$$, just not as much as a Lojack. :)

I just recently lost mine-- so had to claim it on insurance and get a new one--- I want a GPS tracking thing for my new one in case I lose it again or it gets stolen!

I know there is some online program where you can "gps" track your friends cells if they agree--- can i do it to my own phone? is there downloadable software or a small attachable chip or something I can put on my phone?

no because the voyager comes with the GPS already activated in the phone. But in order 2 use it 2 ur satisfaction u have 2 pay. Like the parent tracking thing. I used 2 have it on mine but it just wasn't activated. But i'm sure its expensive hence it is from verizon!
