I want to buy a GPS to use it some time in Europe (Spain), to travel by car or by foot, that is, I would like the cities maps and also the roads maps. After this trip I would like to use it everywhere, specially in Mexico. How can I be sure that I am buying the correct GPS to install software (the maps) for any country?
Yes you can get a GPS for travel in any country. GPS are global, ran off from Satellites. As far as the maps go, if you buy a garmin gps, garmin has maps that you can buy, same with magellen or whomever you go with. They all have specific maps for each GPS.

This is Mapfactor PC Navigator 8 show what users of the software will see most of the time while driving, that is, if they opt to use 3D in navigation mode.
