Yes you can install software like any other Pocket PC - Its a Windows Mobile 5 device.
Also of note - it does come with 2gig of storage space but most of that is taken up by the pre-installed GPS maps.
You'll have access to about 300 meg - which is still a LOT more than most Pocket PCs.

everywhere i look it says cingular but i was wondering if the gps is only offered through cingular cuz its a monthly payment fee for the gps. can the gps still be used with a t-mobile service?
My guess is they provide this service by feeding you back the output of AGPS. In AGPS, the phone picks up the GPS signals but sends them off over the cellular network to a server that does the actual math of figuring out where you are. If so, it might not be compatible with the AGPS system on t-mobile. Or simply that T-Mobile doesn't offer the ability to send you back the AGPS results.
I bought it from LuluUSA, the supposed package contains the driver CD , but it was missing!!! I went to Navroute.com to look for drivers but their website sucks. Anyone know where I can obtain the driver file for the Navroute GPS HP-610? Thanks in advance.
