How can I charge my navigation system through my computer and use it at the same time?
If it came with a USB cable just plug it into the USB and it'll charge, keep in mind the computer has to be on for the USB to have power. As for using it and charging it, some electronics are set up to use or charge but not at the same time, some can do both it's up to the manufacture as to how that works.

I am trying to either attach the GPS unit to the dash board or to the Windshield but neither are working.
The suction mount (blue part) goes to the window but how do you get it to stick/stay. When I clamp down on the lever it does not secure.
When I try to use the adhesive on the dash, does the mounted blue part discussed above come off somehow?
sounds like the suction is warped slightly. when you clamp it down it leaks the air out. i would get a bean bag mount. just make sure that the application is very clean and that you fully depress on the suction cup while locking the clip down. if that doesn't work then it's defective.

I was driving in NYC the other day with my GPS system and all of a sudden it started acting crazy! I was using it to help me find my way back to the Lincoln Tunnel and all of a sudden it started to fast foward and complete the trip. It didn't stop there either, it just kept moving really fast in different places, like it had a glitch or something. It seems fine now, but I'm very worried the next time I need it for a big trip. What caused it to do this? Has anyone else had this issue with the Magellan RoadMate 2000?
Hi katzenbachnyc,
Mine did it once. I powered down and rebooted and it worked fine. I was on a trip at the time and it resumed like nothing had happened. I was nervous for a long time but that has been several months ago and the problem never repeated.

I am trying to decide between the Magellan Mestro $600 bucks or the Tom Tom $200. There is a big price difference and I want to know which one is better.
Hi Toogie,
I prefer the Garmin Nuvi 350 at about $360 http://amazon.com/s/ref=nb_ss_gw/002-078 5581-4678427?initialSearch=1&url=sea rch-alias%3Daps&field-keywords=nuvi but between the Tom Tom and Magellan I would say the Tom Tom isn't as good but the Magellan isn't three times as good. I don't know which model of the Maestro you are referring to. The 4040 is only about $350 and it is near the top of the line. You can see it here - http://amazon.com/s/ref=nb_ss_gw/002-078 5581-4678427?initialSearch=1&url=sea rch-alias%3Daps&field-keywords=magel lan+gps

The type doesn't matter - 200, 300, 400, 1500, or 2000.

TomTom vs. Navman: Which GPS System Would Ferdinand Magellan Choose?

Not to confuse the man with the brand, Ferdinand Magellan is one of the world's most famous explorers, the man who discovered the appropriately-titled Straight of Magellan and was the captain on the first trip around the globe. If you plopped him down in modern times and asked him which GPS system was better, TomTom or Navman, what would he say?
Well, we really don't know. But we can have a better idea of we try to figure out the answer for ourselves. Looking at each brand, of course, means looking at a range of their different products – and there are plenty – but let’s try to see how each brand measures up against each other overall.
