Hi! I would like the MAGELLAN GPS eXplorist_210.
I'm new i Us (I'm a geographer) and I hope it's the best model also for vist city (showing highway, destination,point of view...)
Someone can suggest me.
Anyway I don't like the car model like TOM TOM.

Where do I find the "alphanumeric passkey" for Magellan GPS that my Blackberry cell is asking me about?

The passkey is something you punch into one device and must repeat on the second device.

I recently purchased a Magellan Roadmate 1412 GPS. This is first GPS of this brand that I've gotten. Apparently the maps are stored on an SD card. Does Magellan provide updates for their GPSes? If so, does it usually mean buying a new SD card with updated maps on it?

When you get your gps usually you need to go to there website and see if theres any undates. Is according to what month the units was made and how long its been at the store. Just go to the Magellan website and see for an update and download it, and you will be fine.

I have a Magellan Roadmate 1200 GPS that has a 1 gig SD card with a US map on it. I'm going to Germany next month, does anyone offer a Europe SD map for my GPS?

Looking to buy a handheld GPS unit for geocaching. Considering Magellan Titon 1500 and Garmin Colorado 400. Question - will the Garmin topo Canada software work with the Magellan GPS, or is the software somehow proprietary, such that it will ONLY work with Garmin ?

It's proprietary, go with the Colorado, I'm looking for a new unit right now for caching. Considering the GPSmap60 but more and more thinking I should just go for the colorado, but I already have two pda's that I could use to go paperless.
