I connect the cable to my com.I installed the software that can read data from my gps. But still my com can't detect the device although I already connected it. Please help me


disconnect it turn off the computer, plug it back in and when u turn it on, the computer should detect new hardware

Is there a case or harness for a Magellan Meridian GPS?

I want to have it secured on my kayak deck and still be able to read the display and push the buttons.


Here you go, I don't know if this is the right harness, being as a Kayak is kind of an odd attachment, but try this:

need operating manual for a Meridian Marine GPS unit. Where can I find it. The unit is made by Magellan.?



I can obtain you one, seeing as how I have two of them. I'll check my documents to see if I happen to have a PDF file as well

    Hello AW,

    i also don't know much about this error.
    As i wrote in posts before - we are using Gps Babel technology for import/export data to files and GPS devices. Their website says that your GPS device is fully supported.

    I have also checked some info on other webpages and forums and the only solution i've found is that both application and device should use BaudRate 4800 and it works fine.
    Which is strange in your case because it's not.

    I don't know what to suggest at the moment. I will have to do some more investigation on this subject. Maybe you should try to set BaudRate to 2400 or 9600? I would try it myself, but i don't have such device here to test it....
