Motorcycle GPS?
Groovy!

Are the deminsions for the TomTom Rider (motorcycle GPS) the same as the TomTom auto GPS deminsions? The monitary difference in an auto and Motorcycle GPS is about $400, I don't need it waterproof, if it's raining, I'll take it off, but it has to be able to be mounted on the handlebars. Any Ideas?

I agree with the Garmin statement. I have had a TomTom x 2. They both only lasted about a year, plus the updating on them were horrible. Me and my wife have Garmins, we have had them over a year 1/2. They have updates available every 3 months, and they are more user friendly. As far as putting it on a motorycle, you can find a mount really for any GPS to go on a bike. http://motorcycle-superstore.com has tons of great things for motorcycles. Check it out.

What is a Good Motorcycle GPS that runs off of AA or AAA Batteries and is Waterproof?
ram ball height

Been riding since Feb and I LOVE Cruising Interstates and traveling to all the attractions located around Central Florida. But the GPS I use in the Car a Garmin C330 isn't waterproof, and has a short battery life.

That's why I'm looking for a GPS that can mount to my bike, is waterproof, and I can swap out batteries from Walmart or something if it dies.

Any suggestions would be apreciated.

+1 to the Zumo, but you may not have 500 bucks to spend on a GPS. Garmin makes a number of handheld models that are street route capable, but they may not be as easy to use. It really depends on the balance of user friendliness/cost you're comfortable with. Check out Garmin's website or a sporting goods store and ask someone that works there to show you what each unit can do.

Which GPS would work best as a motorcycle speedometer?
Woohoo, published!

The speedo on my bike doesn't work, so I removed it and I'm thinking I can just get a GPS that shows my speed. Smaller is better since I just need the speed and not the map and directions. Anyone have suggestions?

A Sigma bicycle speedometer (about $25) work just fine, unless your bike is a single, in which case the vibes may cause it to reset and cycle through its menus randomly.

For a minimalist GPS, the Garmin Etrex models are about the size of a fat cell phone. A basic model should be down under $100. For all I know, there are less expensive ones around by now. The technology is getting cheaper all the time.

A GPS may be susceptible to vibration too, unless you hard-wire it to your bike's electrical supply. Be sure you get one that is weather-proof.
