If I have blackberry pearl, can I install Tom Tom GPS palm version and combin with Bluetooth reciever to use the GPS for no charge?

doubt it. Palm and BB are on different platforms.

I've seen similar GPS packages on EBay from one seller, but some state that it will work on the T5 and E2, while right under that is another one that says it wil work for the E2,T5 AND TX and Treo type smart phones.

The previous list link is very good.

In short you will need a Bluetooth Satellite receiver and Palm OS software for the maps and location calculations.

Semsons is mentioned in the link and is a good resource for general knowledge.

There are tests of BT receivers. From my review of material, SIRF III is the chipset that's most accurate.
