Can the Palm GPS package made for the T5 work for the TX?

I've seen similar GPS packages on EBay from one seller, but some state that it will work on the T5 and E2, while right under that is another one that says it wil work for the E2,T5 AND TX and Treo type smart phones.

The 3 Palms you mention all run Garnett OS, see here:

http://kb.palm.com/SRVS/CGI-BIN/WEBCGI.E XE?New,kb=PalmSupportKB,CASE=obj(10714), ts=Palm_External2001

Don't know the GPS hardware package you are considering, perhaps this site may help:

Check out the Palm bundles to see if they are the same or equivalent to the ebay package you are considering.

Good luck.

Is it possible to use my Palm LifeDrive as a GPS receiver? If so, How?

What do i need to purchase to do this (if it is possible)?

Thanks in advance

The previous list link is very good.

In short you will need a Bluetooth Satellite receiver and Palm OS software for the maps and location calculations.

Semsons is mentioned in the link and is a good resource for general knowledge.

GpsPaSsions is a good website for general knowledge:

There are tests of BT receivers. From my review of material, SIRF III is the chipset that's most accurate.

Good luck

If you guys are curious about the GPS navigation capabilities of Palm Pre from Sprint you should check out this review . Here’s some background info on Palm Pre’s GPS navigation: It is powered by TeleNav – a name that keeps coming up when we talk about GPS navigation these days. On other providers their service costs $10/month. With Sprint however GPS navigation is included in the “Simply Everything” plan. So no extra monthly fees or upfront costs. What else is different?
