sony car gps

My car was broken into (in my own driveway) and the person stole just the faceplate off my sony stereo. They didnt take the gps, so I think this was a very dim theif. Anyway, I need to replace it and Im not sure what model it was. I just bought the car not too long ago and the stereo came with it. Can I just buy any faceplate or do I need the same one?

same one and they usually cost around 150 bucks so its cheaper to just get another cd player (not sony lol sorry sony makes good TVs thats it lol)

I'm trying to buy a GPS for my new Jeep truck.. I didn't know Sony even made portable GPS but I just found out they have some cool features.. How's SONY GPS?? Is it recommended??
I'm willing to spend $150 to $300. Any ideas??

i need a new gps for my car, and dont know what choice to get. All i care about is the quality of which is better, and the picture image also.

Garmin is a best gps for car, Garmin has a simple controls - simply touch the color screen to enter a destination, has a turn-by-turn voice directions, 2-D or 3-D maps and more feature.

I suggestion a Garmin nuvi model is a 255W, 760.

255W: has text-to-speech, you get turn by turn spoken directions with the real names of streets (e.g. "turn left in 50 feet at Nebraska Way", rather than merely "turn left in 50 feet"), 4.3-Inch diagonal touch screen color display, etc.

i am looking in purchasing a gps for my car. i don't want to spend any more than $300. i am leaning more towards a sony gps. whats been your experiences so far with gps systems?

Without trying all the GPS units out thats impossible to know.
I have a Garmin 200 that costs about $200.00 and i'm well pleased with it. I could have spent alot more money if i wanted more pre-loaded maps for outher countries etc..
This unit will do the job just program it to where you want to go and it's just like haveing someone with you in the car giveing you step by step instructions to get you there.
Even if the highway is blocked by an accident or weather,just hit the detour feature and the unit recalculates and has you on your way in a heart beat.
I just did'nt pick this unit randomly i picked it because of outher people who owns a Garmin GPS unit and swears by them.
