American Audio Speakers

i started dj'ing at home with turntables, but a friend told me that the american audio v2000 plus amp is too strong for the 300 watts combination of my two technics speakers, i tried to research for myself but couldnt find anything. help please!

Hugo - You probably will be fine as long as you don't push the amp so loud that it goes into distortion.

Watch the peak or limit lights on the amp when you are playing the system loudly. If they are not lighting up, you should be fine. If they are lighting up, back off on the volume.

That is good practice for all DJ's and pro audio engineers.

what would you prefer? american speakers, european speakers or japan speakers?

Well where the speaker is made is not relevant to me as long as they sound good. I prefer Klipsch and Polk Audio. They both have incredible sound quality.

But this is coming from a very trained ear. Some people are happy with listening through lower model sony speakers, others would pull theyre hair out having to sit through a movie without listening to it via High end speakers and components.

Now onto the Bose issue: I personally dont like them, but I dont hate them either. For they money they are a complete rip off, but they also sound better than some low budget speakers.

For Recievers: Onkyo, Pioneer, and Denon are all spectacular brands. They all provide very clean power with low distortion. Sometimes a good reciever will made bad speakers sound good.

I have an American Audoi mixer and i want to hook up 2 amps to it so i can run 4 speakers on 2 channels. and dont know what to do.

I am moving to Europe (Spain) and want to buy some good speakers for my computer that can work in both America and Europe. I wanted to buy a 3 piece system with a subwoofer, but I cannot find any speakers that can be switched between 120V and 220V. I have only found speakers with American voltage.

Do dual voltage speakers even exist? And if so, what brand?

Am I better off waiting and buying speakers over there?

Which speakers can be plugged straight into my computer without have to use an AC?

If you can't find any (I've not seen them), then you can either buy them there, or buy here and use a step-down transformer there. Considering the weight of a good system, it would probably be more economical to buy the outfit in Spain.

There are USB powered speakers, but the power at a USB port is limited -- I believe 5 volts at 1 amp which is 5 watts -- which isn't really enough for a good system.

I've got my system ready and waiting in my room (although a cheap one...) :

Pioneer MP3/CD Tuner with 3 RCA Pre-Amp Outputs /
Bezerk Double Sub (1200w) Enclosure /
Sony Xplod 4" Speakers (front?) /
American Boss (cheap..) 6x9" 4-Way Speakers (below the window??) /
Audio City 4000w (LOL, RMS will hopefully add up to 400w -600w?...) 4 Channel Amplifier.. Right now I've got my stock VY Blaupunkt Unit (if anyone interested, as it supposedly has no RCA pre-amp outputs..) and my stock VY speakers in my car...

Anyhow, can anyone suggest the price of the installation of my system, atleast roughly? Also, where is the best places to go (JB? Strathfield? Autobarn? Individual electronics around Melbourne?) for the best price and quality of installation? And finally, feel free to suggest desirable changes to my current system that is awaiting (low-price range perhaps).
