Arc Audio Speakers

I have $250.00 for 4 new speakers for my car. Is JL audio any good, or Arc audio? I've heard brands like pioneer and alpine are good too.

I'm looking for speakers that don't need an amp to sound good but I will eventually get an amp and subs... thanks

It kind of depends on the size of the speakers you need. However I have 4 Boston Acoustic S65's in my car and they sound GORGEOUS. Boston Acoustics wouldn't put their name on a crappy product EVER. When you're looking for subs look into their G5 line as well. I own 2 12s which again sound gorgeous. Said to be like the best SQ sub on the market (especially in its price range)

I got 4 JL audio speakers, 2 JL audio 10' subs in a box, and 2 arc audio amps (one 4x80 watts, the other mono 500watt) all installed for 1,200 including tax.

is that cheap for a shop?
they charged 30 a pair for speakers, 30 for amp install, and 100 for the box.

could be a bit over priced but your car may be challenging, often installin speakers are 50.00 a pair, tweeters could need custom mounting.

a sub box can be from 150.00 to 300.00

amps are often 50.00 to install but they may do a nice install for you, plus wiring and interconnects, this sound about right if they will do a nice install for you. just running wiring can be time consuming alone.
