NOPE, absolutely not....magnets can't hurt it...
But, watch out...anybody that presses Hard against the display screen can crack the panel...and that's about $2000

I am planning to by a Panasonic 50" plasma and would like to buy a set of speakers that I don't have to wire up all over the room. I was told that there are speakers sets, like the Bose 321 that give surround sound quality without having to wire up 5 speakers around a room. What can you suggest? Thanks
i had a bose 321 and true it does sound good but you can get the same sound for half or less then half the price. alot of people includng me buy bose crap because of the name. i just picked up a yamaha hts 5940 6.1 surround reciever for 175 bucks and gonna get the yamaha 6.1 speaker package and it will sound better then the bose. as far as wiring the back speakers i usually run em under the carpet along the baseboard so there out of the way and ur not walking on them and you save alot of money and time and have a decent sounding system. hope this helps

I have a 32 inch Samsung HDTV. I am using it to play xbox games and Blu-ray movies on my PS3. Is there any good 5.1 speakers that I can buy. I obviously don't need another dvd player.
Fdhfdg, please stop posting this scam website of yours, it has no relevance to the question at hand and it's clear your full of you know what.
To the OP, getting good sound under 200.00 is pretty much impossible. You sacrifice sound quality for saving money. So basically you will be throwing away money on a system that you won't like, then have to spend more money to upgrade on decent equipment.
A decent subwoofer alone will start at around 400.00 without any speakers. For an entry level system I would look at the Insignia 6.5" speakers sold at BestBuy but they cost about 80.00/pr so 6 speakers is already 240.00 without the use of a sub at all, then there is the cost of a reciever.
All you can get is a home theater in a box setup and I can't in good taste recommend any of those for any price.
When u connect to the earphone speakers, the Pod could not drive the sound out of the speakers. Sound is not very good. Bose Acoustimas speakers connected to a CD disc player or a PC sends out Hifi quality music & is one of the better if not the best sounding speakers around.
Is there a cradle available that connects to such speakers?
There's no difference from the output of a cd player or pc from the ipod headphone jack. Just make sure the internal volume on the ipod is up around 75%. I run my ipod through a band live sound system from the headphone jack and it's the same level I get from a cd player or a laptop headphone jack. Like I said, just make sure the internal volume level is up.

Cheapo HiFi Improvements | Word Magazine
Much as I’d love to splash out on a proper hi-fi setup, it’s out of the question for the foreseeable future. I’d appreciate any advice from the massive on (very) cheap ways I could improve my listening experience.
One problem is that the focal point of my living room is a large feature fireplace. The sofa is directly opposite this, with the TV on shelves in the left alcove and the hi-fi and speakers on shelves in the right alcove. This is obviously not an optimum listening arrangement. In light of the usual mention of names such as Linn and Mission on these threads, I’m slightly embarrassed to state that my hi-fi is a Technics midi / micro system (can’t remember the exact model and I’m not typing this at home, but I’m sure it has ‘301’ in it somewhere).
