The cabs are fine, the Mid and high drivers are in great shape, but the woofers are blown and the cones are beyond repair. I can not find anyplace online that sells replacement parts for this particular model, and I can't find anyplace nearby in Indiana that does loudspeaker repair. If you can find out anything about this unit, or replacement woofers, may you please let me know? thank you!
What you are looking for is a 12" woofer driver. You don't need a manufacturer's replacement--you only need to find one that matches the impedance and power capacity of your old driver (or, if you don't know that, look at the amp specs for the impedance and peak power output capability of the amp). There are many on-line sources

http://www.theloudspeakerstore.com/price _list.htm
You will have to get into the cabinet to make the replacement, and almost all 12" speakers will fit, but you may have to drill new mounting holes if it is not an exact replacement.
It is important to use the same speaker impedance if the speaker has a passive crossover for the woofer.
Alright so im trying to make a little DIY speaker system for my room, and i bought two 8" no name subs and two 5.25" Slim speakers. they also come with four 350W tweeters for free, yes they are the cheapest speakers in the world but its what i can afford for now. i was wondering with that being said what is a good amp i should get (again cheap and from ebay prefferably) enough to power all four tweeters, two 8's, two speakers. if you could tell me what kind of amp i would need in terms of how much watts i need or if you could even save me the error and find one on ebay for me that would help me alot.
here are the subs:

Please help, it would be greatly appreciated! thanks in advance!!
Also, what will i need to power the amp? is there an AC plug i can buy to power it? or what thanks, i'm totally new to this so any input or advice would help!
would this amp be suitable?

If I were you I would not buy all the components you have shown. I cannot give you an alternative because you did not specify your budget. You may be eager now, thinking that ”anyway, I might be changing it in the future, or might as well accept it for the time being”. But once you hear the sound of that unpopular brand, you will be disappointed with lots of frustration, in the end you might be selling it again. What a waste of time and money. Here's how I can help you. I 'll just give you a tip on what to buy.
1. Buy a head unit that will suite your budget. Get at least a 50Watts x 4 power rating. Buy only one with the features you want and intend to use. Don't buy those over-featured unit. They only give you excitement in the beginning but later on you will get sick of it.
2. For front speaker, buy a 61/2"coaxial speaker with a power rating of 60watts or more( 100w recommended - this is in preparation if you desire to buy a separate power amplifier).
3. For rear speaker, buy a coaxial, oval type speaker with a power rating of 60watts or more (100w recommended).
4. Install first the above components. Hear it and judge for yourself.
Satisfied? Is the bass OK with you? No? Do I still have money? Yes.
5. Buy an active subwoofer. This will depend on your preference. How loud it should be. Test and hear it first before you buy.
6. Once you hear it and is satisfied, you don't need to buy a separate amplifier.
7. However if you still desire a separate amp, buy one with a good brand like Rockford Fosgate, Infinity, Pioneer , Sony, Alpine, etc. All have ample power to suite your taste. Remember, buy one with a reputable brand, (take note that not all model of a known brand is good). Before buying, visit some electronic store, and have a test on their demo unit, then you will have an idea on what to buy. Hope this helps.

Our Hitatchi 53UDX10B is having convergence issues. We fixed it once ourselves, and rather than deal with the hassle or a $400-500 repair bill we are looking for a replacement plasma.
Rather than invest in more equipment for changing technology, I want a tv that will upconvert for me. I've been doing alot of research, but have been out of the scene for so long, I don't know much about todays technology and brands.
We run an HK AVR 520, HK DVD31 pusing Klipsch RF-35's RS-35, RC-35 and RW10.
Here's what I am looking for:
*budget $2200
*brand reliability
*sturdy housing and screen
*48-50"
*1080P native resolution (up-converts all other inputs)
*7000:1 or higher contrast ratio
*HDTV astc tuner
*3D combfilter
*at least 2 component inputs, no need for CATV or S-video inputs
do not need SD card reader
*Built in speakers with decent sound so I don't have to run receiver to watch the news and other channels.
*USB port for 802.11g/n is a PLUS!

Your choice of the Panasonic is excellent, and what I would recommend as the best bang for the buck. I have last year's model.
IMO, the only better plasma is the Pioneer, but it's not better enough to justify the added expense, except for those with money to burn. However, you will not get a 1080p for $2200!

if this laptop can play then at what frame rates?
You computer can, and will, play these games fine. Probably even at a higher graphic settings than low! If you decide to have them at low, I'd say probably 30+ Frames Per Second. I live in a two bedroom, second floor apartment building, and recently two televisions have broken in the same place in my apartment.
Firstly I had a three year old small LCD TV, it had been in its current location for around ten months. Where suddenly the screen went black or blue (I cannot remember), yet sound still remained. This week I finally returned it to Future Shop for them to attempt to repair it under warranty.
For the past few months I have been using an older CRT television as a replacement. Last night during a movie the screen suddenly turned green with darker green lines running through it horizontally. Like the previous TV, the sound remained too. I can just about make out the onscreen prompts of the volume control when I press the buttons.
I have a small home stereo system located two feet away, a Playstation 2 that stands nearby also. I regularly link the Playstation and my laptop through both of these TVs, and direct the audio through the home stereo system. If this is of any use.
I am aware that this could be a completely unrelated coincidence, and different issues. Though, I just wanted to ask the educated community. I understand that unshielded speakers can be an issue with TVs, though I do not think this is the issue here.
I am unaware of any interference, though I wonder if anyone could make any sense of this situation. I was also wondering if some one could explain if anything, what external influences could of caused either or both of these issue, and if so how do I test for these influences. For example should I be testing for magnetic strength in the TV area?
Thank you in advanced. I really do no want to continue to inadvertently break TVs.
Kind regards,
claughton86
