I've noticed that with larger speakers like 6 x 9's, when I turn the volume up at full blast (no amps, line boosters, etc) the speakers will 'pop' (pop sound then temporary silence) at the louder and lower notes. But when I disconnect the larger speakers and connect something small like the speakers from a pair of headphones, they don't suffer from this problem. Now I know from the audio research that I used to do that louder and lower notes require the most voltage. I fugure this has something to do with it but why then don't the smaller speakers suffer this problem?
I can handle the 'techie jargon', give me the best explaination you can. Thanks.
the smaller speaker just wont play the lower notes since its not designed to reproduce it, but the 6x9 probably can but is llimited by power that you give to it (at full blast, your Head Unit amp is "clipping" the signal since it cant give anymore clean power at that level). or it could be over excursion meaning the speaker has exceeded its xmax. (look at your 6x9 when clipping, it's probably stuck fully forward or reverse thats why u cant hear anything, when the sine wave goes below its peak then it moves again thats why you can hear it again.)
just turn the volume down or buy an external amp. Your 6x9 is probably damaged already.

I just purchased two Audio Research AW811 wireless speakers. Each came with a transmtter. Can I run both from one transmitter?
If the speakers are on the same frequency as the transmitter. However, I would assume that if each had its own transmitter they could be different frequencies for left and right.

Hi was planning buying a 7.1 Channel for my HDTV. When I made more research, I also going to need a Audio Receiver because you can't not set the 7.1 Channel Speakers in the back of the HDTV. I check Bestbuy & Amazon online & I only find a (7.1 Channel/DVD Player) & I use my PS3 for Blu-ray movies. Any tips or link it will be great! Thanks!
First, you are right that you need a 7.1 AVR to have any chance of getting 7.1 sound. BUT ... there is VERY little 7.1 channel sound (a few Blu-ray movies) and frankly unless you have a fairly large room it is not going to provide much advantage. However, all 7.1 setups can also be used as 5.1 or 6.1 systems.
There are any number of 7.1 AVRs available (See Best Buy or numerous other stores) starting at about $250 and going to several thousand. Brands such as Pioneer, Onkyo, Yamaha, Denon are all excellent choices.
A 7.1 receiver can also be used (in many cases) to power BOTH a 5.1 surround speaker array AND a separate stereo pair of speekrs in a 2nd room (or zone). Note you will need 7 speakers plus a subwoofer to hook it all up!
See the link for one listing of the "best" midrange 7.1 receivers.

Klipsch Synergy Quintet III Home Theater Speaker System | DA3Y.com
Same cutting-edge technology as our professional cinema products, which are chosen by leading cinema operators around the world.Efficient and Versatile Cinema Sound The Klipsch Microsystem is versatile for a variety of setups. View larger Each magnetically shielded satellite employs a 0.75-inch aluminum diaphragm tweeter coupled to an exclusive MicroTractrix Horn for precise high frequencies. The 3.5-inch long-throw woofers produce remarkable detail and clarity. The swiveling pedestal base featured on each satellite facilitates easy wall or shelf placement and gives the speaker a 180-degree range of motion, allowing users to widen or constrict the soundstage based on audience size. The two-way magnetically shielded center channel uses the same MicroTractrix Horn tweeter and two of the 3.5-inch woofers found in the satellites to ensure an ideal sonic match and proper driver transition across the listening area. And the Microsystem’s high level of efficiency ensures that you don’t need to spend a fortune on amplifiers to get powerful, cinema-quality sound out of your home theater.Complete Your System with a Klipsch Subwoofer In order to create the low-frequency power you can hear and feel, we recommend pairing the Quintet III Microsystem up with our Sub-10 subwoofer (sold separately). The Sub-10 reaches deeper and hits harder thanks to a 10-inch, down-firing driver coupled to a highly efficient BASH amplifier. In addition to its high-end components, the Quintet III Microsystem has a modern, refined industrial design. While the satellites and center channel feature a dark gray finish with medium gray accents, the optional Sub-10 is available in a black ash vinyl finish with titanium accents. It’s obvious something special happens while listening to your favorite music and movies on a Quintet III Microsystem.
