I am looking for a cable to connect from my dvd player/ tv to my audio speakers?
Nueve mil noventa y nueve

I want to connect my (dvd, xbox, and tv) audio to my speakers(klipsch thx two speakers with a subwoofer) they all use the same normal audio cables. What is the connector called and how much am I looking to spend?

They are called RCA plugs. The red and white ones are for the left and right and the yellow one is for video. Probably only about $10 or less unless you want the gold tipped ones which run about $20 and supposedly have better performance.

You would run it through a receiver. I believe that is what you are trying to do. You want the tv speakers and the seperate speakers to run at the same time, right? Then you would need a reciever. You can get them pretty cheap from Radioshack. Don't let them talk you into the whole entertainment system since you already have the speakers. You can always upgrade later =)

I need an adapter for the green colored audio cable that is on speakers?
audio cable

I have speakers that plug into the computer that have the green colored cable. I need to plug it into my vcr and it has a red, yellow and white adapter. What do I need to make the audio cable fit? Is there an adapter that will fit the audio on the VCR/DVD?

Go to RadioShack and tell them you need a "headphone to RCA adapter" - they will get you one. It's also called "3.5 milimeter to RCA."

the problem you are going to have is that most converters FROM RCA to 3.5mm, but you need one that goes from 3.5m TO RCA. That's way I said RadioShack - they will have one where I doubt Best Buy or something like that would.

Good luck!

How do i connect a 360 vga audio cable to my 3.5mm destop speakers?
Mission Control

ok, so i have a 360, vga cable with red and white rca audio jacks, acer monitor, and a 3.5mm flat speakers. i want to connect the two male rca audio output to the 3.5mm input but i cant find an adapter. Can somebody help me or do i have to buy new speakers. Thanks
yeah i want it in my room coz at the moment its in the front.

hmmm I think you can connect them thru the sound card on the back of your computer but your computer will have to be on for the sound to be heard.

Your best bet is just hooking it up to your tv, you can even hook it up thru a vcr or stereo receiver if they are already connected to your television. If you don't have a television you can buy a good LCD with component (rgb) connections for the cheap and you will get better picture quality.

Here is a link to the cable Steven B is talking about:

Note that they are female to male, which might be hard to find anywhere else.

How do I extend an audio speaker cable?
Play Time

I have an RCA home theater system. The cable of the rear speakers is too short. I would like to extend the cable. I bought speaker wire, but I am wondering how I should connect the end of both cables together. I know that tape is a fast solution, but I don't think it will help with sound quality. Should I look for some kind of connector or system to tie both cables together? Thank you.

tape will be fine... just strip the wires down enough that you can twist the two ends together then tape them. or you can get cable crimps from the hardware store where you put each end of the wire into a connector then crimp it down to hold them tight. In most cases if it does mess with the quality it all it will be the highend frequencys that you are uncapable of hearing anyways IF it affects it at all. But it should be fine. I install all my car stereos and do my home wiring with crimps and twist and tape
