I am looking to purchas some speakers for my car, i need help on Boss Audio?

I have been looking at Boss Audio car speakers. I have heard that they were a pretty good brand name and read similar review. The price is very affordably cheap for these speakers. I am just wondering how good Boss Audio really is.

Are Car audio speakers special? Is there any difference between them and a home audio speaker?

Do they somehow run on a different method, or is a speaker a speaker regardless of where it is being powered from, whether it be a cars amplifier, or a home amplifier?


Yes, it's quite a bit different. Home speakers are made for closed boxes meaning they are enclosed in a box to get more dynamic sound whereas car speakers are made for more of a free air environment. Also another thing is most home speakers run at an 8ohm resistance while most car speakers are 4 or 2ohm. I'm guessing you are asking this because you want to put home speakers in your car or car speakers in your house, yes it can be done but it won't sound quite the way it was intended.

I know what bass, and volume does. What about Fader?


it balances between the front and rear speakers, say a fade det all the way down, and sound would only come from the rear speakers, and vice versa.

you cant listen to everyone else all the time. If u wanna get the best speakers regardless of money then there are a plethora of companies that have very high powered competition grade speakers and subwoofer that will be loud and good. your best bet is to go to an audio specialties shop not best buy, walmart, or circuit city and see what they have. thats not to say that walmart and best buy dont have good brands, but an audio specialties shop will be able to answer most if not all of your questions.

I'll suggest JL audio, Audiobahn, and Memphis audio are all very good high quality brands to look into. to name a very small few.
