Audio Speakers Grills

Hi, I am wondering how do I remove the stock car audio speakers from my 2001 Pontiac Grand Am SE (4 Door). Should I be able to just remove the speaker grill or do I need to remove the door panel? If I need to remove the door panel how do I got about doing so and what tools will I need to complete the task.

Door panels must come off. Get a Chilton's guide for your car... It'll walk you through the process. You'll need a door panel popper and a Philips head screwdriver.

im verry happy with the grills they fit perfect and will look great with a fresh coat of paint on them.

Please help. I don't know how to take the grill off the speakers to see.

The grills will not come off. You will have to remove the door panel and the rear deck (I'm pretty sure) to access the speakers. If they are factory speakers, they wont really have a "brand". What are you trying to accomplished?

Hi does anyone know if the logitech z2300 have a dual coil?

I also just removed the grill from my woofer with a flat head screw driver and man does this sub look slick. WOW!!!

Also one more question I have on board sound, if I buy a sound blaster Live or auidgy or something, will that improve my sound quality?

If so by how much I hear a good sound card makes your speaker sound like magic is this true and I hear it doubles the bass power. Is this true?

A soud card will improve you sound quality and will improve your computer performance slightly.

CHECK THIS OUT...........i have my factory radio still in my car, i had the best sounding system around here. i had two 10" subs with power horns in my car grill. i had the loudest system, everyone though i had an aftermarket head unit and 12" subs but i dint. i just know how to hook it up and set the gain and everything right with minimal distortion.......well this where the problems start....i been had this setup for about 2 years now....man i loved it, i turned heads with my windows up, i had people at the light asking me who installed it because it sounded good. i said ME! lol and everybody wanted me to hook theirs up the same way but now to how i got bit. starting this week, my system went from turning heads to making me wanna just rip it out! well first a cd got stuck in the cd player now its broke, then my amp blew,then there is a shortage in my left front speaker now, now i have no bass in my car. the new amp i bought doesnt put out enough bass for me (wasted money) GRRRRR!!!!!

since u have experience installing and wiring up systems i had a question on installing one. basically its all installed and everything the only thing is that the amp and the box[with the subs] wires got loose and is not putting out bass!! this is the second time it happens to me!!! im sure its a simple thing to fix by just put the wires together but im having a very difficult time...HELP!!!!!
