Audio Speakers Kits

I am buying and audio wiring kit speakers and a cd player for under my seat when I go to parties on the beach and places like that. I was just curious to how long would a fully charged 12v moped battery last on average if anyone else has done this before or knows? Thankyou

Your battery will have an AH rating -- that is amp-hours.

Using at the beach you will likely be pushing a few watts of music, so your drain will be maybe 1.5-2 amps, call it 2. A 7AH battery, divide by 2 amps, equals 3.5 hours.

I am 18, I just know allot about AUDIO equipment.I kind of want a career in it but i dnt know. I love helping people setting there amps,subs,speakers, and kits up. but what should i do keep on doing what im doing?

I'm not trying to rain on your parade, but just bring reality to perspective.

You may enjoy helping people with audio installations and what not, but once you get into it as a full-time job, you may decide that it's not fun anymore and the pay doesn't cut it with wife, kids, cars and house mortgage.

For example: I loved working on cars (building racing engines, custom paint jobs for magazines features and going to custom car show). but when I got a job as a mechanic and worked for over 7 years, I ended up dreading going to work. I believe many jobs are like this, even if you love it at first.

If you want this career, you should eventually own the business rather than work for someone else, but you may have to start at the bottom still. Otherwise, you'll just be makin peanuts forever. For this you may want some training in business (not required, but will help). However owning this business means running this business and you may not be doing the thing you like.

Or get a degree in Electrical Engineering and get paid about $100K a year or more designing audio equipment or whatever. Or stay with a max $60K/yr job.

I have a Panasonic HT330 HTK and a SKY+ box. Ive got it connected to the HTK with Phono Leads (red and white) By when I put the HTK on it only gives audio from the from 2 speakers. I know I wont get full surround sound but I jst want the other speakers to play sound. How can I do this? I knw on a friends HTK you can press something on the remote to get audio from all speakers. Hope you guys can help

You will have to switch your surround mode to Dolby Prologic II which is designed to take a stereo source and simulate surround sound.

I have and xbox 360 using Mad Catz HDMI Conversion kit with and HDMI out and Optical out. An HP W2408h monitor with a VGA in, HDMI in, Audio in and USB in. Altec Lansing ADA745 4.1 Speakers THX certified with 2 jacks (like the headphones tip) that has a converter to make it to 1 jack. A PC using the ASUS K8N-e deluxe motherboard that supports 7.1 has an S/PDIF out, rear speaker out, side speaker out, center sub woofer port, line in port, line out port, mic port.

Question, how do i get my xbox 360 to output sound on my speakers and headphones. I'm connecting my xbox 360 to the HP monitor via HDMI and only has sound on the built in HP speakers. I want it to come out of my speakers or headphones. Anyone know the setup for this?

Kudos for those who can fix this problem. I'll consider getting adapters or other peripherals to get the best out of this setup. As long as it's not that expensive.

since optical audio is a digital medium, and headphone jacks are analog, you would need a fairly complex and expensive setup to convert the signal. it would be much easier if the mad catz thing had RCA out, but alas, it does not.

Top quality speakers.....MB Quart....Infinity.....Boston Acoustic.....thats just a few there are lots of great speaker companies out there

Top quality subwoofers....JL Audio.....RE Subwoofers(very good)....elemental designs.....personally i would go with JL because of sound quality and hard hitting bass at the same time

Top quality Amps.....Alpine PDX series(have them in my truck)....JL Audio.....Kicker....

Top Quality receivers/dash units PIONEER....Alpine....Eclipse.....Kenwood

If money is not a problem then get some MB Quart component speakers all around.....with a Alpine 4 channel amp powering them....2 JL Audio w3 subwoofers or w6 if you want more boom but w3's are VERY impressive....power the subs with a Alpine pdx 1.1000(same as i got)...get a Pioneer double din indash head unit....and to top it all off get box custom built for the subwoofers and add some dynamat in your vehicle to stop any distortion and rattling will make your vehicle quieter also and the sound quality of the music will be amazing.
