Ive been looking at some speaker review's on the net and it seems like some cheaper speakers have gotten more star's than some more expensive one's.
I had a friends in high school that had wal mart sparkomatic all the way around it sounded great really. I have learned threw the years of systems. If you stick with one name brand threw out you get good sound. While you do pay more for name brand the cheap stuff does sound good. The problem is the amount of time it last. The cheap stuff usually last a year or two then you will start having problems. The more expansive stuff will last longer.

I also would like to find a site on acoustic audio model 191 speakers other than ebay and discountdirect
Your best bet would be to try a mfg's web site or go to yahoo search......ROB
I have been looking at Boss Audio car speakers. I have heard that they were a pretty good brand name and read similar review. The price is very affordably cheap for these speakers. I am just wondering how good Boss Audio really is.

i own a 5.1 logitech speaker system.... with a old creative sound blaster live 8000. the surround speakers blew up and don't work anymore.... and sometimes i need to twist the green audio wire plugged to my sound card to get sound. What's causing this damage to my speakers + wires? is it the creative sound card?? thats out of date.... or is it my speakers that was poorly designed? i used them for a good 3 years .... http://www.techwarelabs.com/reviews/audi o/logitech_z640/images/843.gif and im planning on buying the Z-5500 tomorrow after xmas...... but im worried it might blow up with the same sound card??? should i just buy the new creative series X-Fi sound cards?
Just extra details (Optional to read):
this is my really old sound card: http://www.biocomp.net/sound_blaster.jpg
i dont wanna throw it away to waste, it makes my bass sound really clean and crisp... but i have a feeling its not worth teaming up with my z-5500.
Sounds like a bad connector or wiring to the connector if u have to twist the wires to make them work.
I want to buy some good speakers and i was gonna buy polk audio because i read good reviews on there website, and ive heard infinity has really good speakers, what is the verdict from experience?
they are all three good brands to buy...this mostly just has to do with preference...as far as hooking them up to an amp i personally myself have always liked Memphis speakers...they are pretty reasonable in price and have withstood several years of abuse in my pickup. the other thing i like about the ones i have are that they are two way speakers with the removable tweeter in the center of the cone, so if you choose to relocate the tweeter into a better location you have the option without having to buy other tweeters
