Audio Speakers Sales

I picked up some M-Audio Studiophile BX5 speakers at a garage sale and I would like to hook them to my computer. I have a fairly typical sound card with the mini jack output. The speakers are powered but have more of a pro audio interface. If you seen these, you know what I talking about. I need to get the proper cables for them. Frankly, I'm afraid to fry them as the last guy did (that's why I got them cheap - I had them repaired). On the back they've got the three-pin "Canon" style male connectors (like a microphone). Any thoughts? Thanks!

I checked out the link to the Hosa cable and noticed that the 1/4" jacks are 2 conductor (case and tip) whereas the back of the speaker shows a diagram specifying a 3 conductor 1/4" jack (2 on the case and the tip). Is this difference important? The back of the speaker also says "TRS" at that jack.

Your speakers have XLR (three pin) and 1/4 inch inputs. What you need is a 1/8 inch stereo to 1/4 inch cable:

Just testing Speakers i have for sale amp; having fun doing it.

Well i am in the process of purchasing car speakers for my 1992 Honda civic and i am looking for a website that gives the accurate specifications on all their speakers or at least most of their speakers. I was just wondering what people thought would be the "best" website to search on. I have been looking at 4 www.caraudiocraze.com www.sonicelectronix.com www.onlinecarstereo.com and www.amazon.com i was wondering what people thought of these websites as to how accurate they are with the specs. that they give for speakers. Any info. about any of these sites or any others that you would go with would be greatly appreciated! oh and i find crutchfield.com to be too expensive with not enough selection.

www.crutchfield.com for specs, comparisons, excellent support and knowledge (their prices are not too high when you factor all of that in and their radios come with a lot of free stuff -from harnesses and dash kits- that you would have to pay for at other places)

You go into a larger retail store and there is a display for different (for example) speakers for sale. There are 3 or 4 buttons, 1 for each brand of speaker, each button you press will activate the corresponding speaker, pressing another button will cut that speaker off and start that one. If no other button is pressed, the current speaker will play for maybe 30 seconds then cut off. I need to build a similar system, but for a different application, does anyone know of existing "switch box" or something that will do this? I can do a lot of stuff, but I do not have the time to experiment with building my own relay box.

Check partsexpress.com and madisound.com They each sell speaker components and lots of other stuff. Seems they will have what you are looking for .

They lost the cords says it works but I don't have audio cord. Power was no problem. Can I bypass that audio. I just have the sub speaker.

The phone number for Bose is 1-888-757-9952. You can order the proprietary cables there. Do not buy normal speaker cables because Bose uses a different wiring scheme than anybody else. You will need 2 wiring bundles, 1 from the receiver to the base module(their version of a subwoofer) and 1 from the base module to all the speakers. I have never been a huge fan of Bose but never had a problem with their customer service. Hope you enjoy.
