Audio Speakers Test

I have registered Hypercam and I click record audio from speakers, it tests it but it doesn't work does anyone know a program that will record audio from speakers?

I've noticed lately that at certain frequencies and volumes my car audio seems to sound tinny or somewhat scratchy.

I have an 8" subwoofer in a ported enclosure in the trunk, with 6x9 2-way speakers on the rear deck, and 5" speakers in the doors. I think one of the 6x9s may be on its way out because the tinny sound seems to be coming from the rear but I can't quite tell from which speakers.

Is there some kind of diagnostics CD out there that might be able to play a range of frequencies that would help me pinpoint a broken or failing speaker?

I don't think you really need it to diagnose this problem, but here's a good diagnostic disc that is handy to have.

my computer speakers work when i test them from the control pannel , but dont work when i play audio on my computer, does anyone know what the problim could be? ive tested them on the control pannel and it makes the noises, i dont understand why internet audio/ computer audios wont work. please help

Click on the little speaker in the bottom right corner and make sure all the sound options are on high and make sure mute is off

When testing my surround stereo speakers using the THX Optimizer, the rear speakers put out no audio at all when testing "out of phase". Is that normal?

I would think that would be normal. Whenever I test speakers manually, for phase, I sure don't want there to be more than 2 sources. It's hard enough testing 2 speakers for phase, let alone 4.

If that optimizer has some special software that can do it -- it's news to me, and I would be very impressed!.

Laptop is running in vista. I cannot get any audio yet when we did the sound test we did hear the tones clearly. I know how to operate the regular volume controls - ie in the bottom toolbar and in the control pannel and those are all set as they always have been. I've not intentionally turned anything off or on mute.

A few things to try

Go to "Start".."Control Panel"..."Internet Options"...Click the "Advanced Tab"...scroll down to multimedia and put a check mark in play sounds on websites.

Go to Start -> Search Window -> and Type Services.msc
Scroll down to "Windows Audio".
Double click and change the startup type to Automatic

If you still experiencing problems you may need to download the tosihiba audio drivers to make the audio work...
