Look for speakers that provide a good frequency response. Also make sure the speakers have a high efficiency rating.

I'm looking to buy some speakers so I can listen to music in my dorm, since the built in speakers on my macbook pro are terrible and have no bass. I want to get something with 2 speakers and a subwoofer, preferably. Around $100 would be good, but def under $200. Any recommendations?
