Boston Audio Speakers

I am also looking for sound quality as my main interest vs loudness in speakers Boston Accoustic pro 60/ Zs vs JL vs Alpine vs Infinity Kappa Perfect vs .... I have not been able to find the Infinity perfects yet. Any clear favorite in Head Units for durability, customer service and sound quality? Thank you

For an amp, check out Zapco. They may be a little more expensive than your real big name stuff, but they have incredible quality and do as many or more watts than they say they do, unlike a lot of amps out there. As for your speakers, Zapco also makes some great speakers, especially their comp line, but some of the stuff you said is good too. BA, JL, and the Infinitys will all make great systems.

Personally I have a Zapco DC 1100.1 Amp hooked up to 4 Infinity Kappa Perfect subs, and they are like freakin loud, yet still have super great SQ. They hit hard, accurate, and clear. For speakers, I also have the Infinity Kappa Perfect 5-1/4" component systems, and they sound really nice, but as always, there is better stuff out there than that. I have those hooked up to a Crossfire XP 600.4. But man, the tweeters that come with that Kappa Perfect component system can scream like no other if you want them to. It all sounds great.

As for your deck, there are a lot of great things out there. Check out Pioneer, Kenwood, Alpine, and even Sony. But in my car, I got a Sony CDX-M1000TF and it is awesome. It has very nice sound control and options, but the pest part about it is the display. It has a big, wide crystal clear LCD screen that plays great images, visuals, and even predownloaded videos. It also has the very best menu options I have ever seen in a deck. It is super simple to understand and looks very, very good. The screen is really big, cuz the head unit itself only has like 4 buttons on it and 2 switches, everything else is done on a remote which is really cool. I highly recommend it. And if you can find one, it shouldn't be that expensive- last week I found one on Ebay for a buy it now of $90. Great deal for a deck of that quality.

Here is a YouTube video showing it off. The camera they use in it is super crappy, as you will probably tell, and does not do this beautiful deck any justice. But, if you watch it, you should get the basic idea of what this deck can do.

I just purchased an '07 Caliber that didn't have the liftgate speakers and Boston audio speakers but I want them installed. Does anyone know where I could get these installed and a price esitmate??

I would try and go to the local stereo shops and see if what they'd charge. All stereo shops charge different prices depending on the accessability to the speakers. It could run you from $35-65 roughly. More or Less. Best Buy and Circuit City will install speakers for free if you but them from them, and usually won't install equipment if not bought from them. Both of these speakers say that they are 6.5-6.75 so that means I can use them in either place right?

Also the Pioneer are $20 cheaper. Is the sound difference worth $40?

Pioneer, well...doesn't. At all.

You would notice a HUGE difference between the 2!

i have an 1994 camaro, with 2 front boston speakers and 2 jl audio speakers. I already have a 150 amp fuse with power wires. i want to hook a kicker solo-baric l7 15 inch to my wires in the trunk do i need an amp. will there be a big difference in sound quality. if so how can i hook up an amp to my 150 amp fuse.

well, no you do not.
you can put an sub in the car, as long as you do not expect sound it will still be there.

dude it like asking if you need an engine in your car.
how else do you get power to the sub. a radio.
save up about 500 and take to a shop and tell them to put something in it. you might not get ripped off.
