I own a 1996 New Yorker and have bought speakers and head unit for it and am saving up for a subwoofer or two. Not sure how to go about putting it all together just working with the speakers for now what do I need like what kind of wiring or whatever? I know how to install a head unit but as for speakers should I put them inside the door where the old speakers are or like in the trunk or in the floor board and just put somethign over it or what? Anything like that would be so extremely helpful thanks so much.
and I'm planning on buying an aplifier but not completely sure yet working with speakers and head unit so far what do I need and so on? Any instructions on the internet or somethign would be great, thanks so much.
OK, so it looks like you don't wanna spend a lot of money, understandable. You are also saying you may buy an amp, so I suppose you want to live it upgradable. You'll need your basic toolbox (this is not hard at all) You are definetly going to need a lor of speaker wire, I recomend buy it by the coil, is cheaper that way; You can go old style by using electrical tape (it gets messy with time and heat), or get a wireing kit from wallmart (my prefered store)(they go from 10 to 50 bucks) is much more clean and last longer, no sticky wires when you decide to upgrade. About the speakers placement, if you are going to implant the bass separate, save the pain and put them where they are already easy to install(the doors) since you are not going to requiere bass from them, resonance won't be a problem (bass from the subs will overide that). I do recomend to get a pair of separate tweeters (they'll make a huge difference in sound quality, I promisse you), I recomend PowerAcoustik NB1(with the K), I paid 12 buck for mine and they sound better than my old ones(80 dollars 300w Kenwood KFCT207, burned out, what a shame). Place them where you have clear eyesight(it's easy they are semi small). I you want cheap bang for the buck on the bass, I recomend Lighting Audio subs, not a great as high end sbut for what they cost you'll be very happy since they don't requiere a lot of power so you'll save money on a cheap amp though. Make sure you turn down the bass for the door speakers and the tweeters all the way or you'll cause distorsion, you'll get plenty of that (bass) from the subs. Just keep the lows and highs separate. Follow my instructions and you'll have a nice clear and crisp sound. For any questions or recomendation feel free to e-mail me, this is my hoby, and I my pay is all the fun I get from doing it. One more thing, make sure you fix all the raddling your car is going to make or I'm gonna come over and hit you in the head with your own subs.LOL just kidding.

every speaker imgonna get some1 says not to get those kinds and they tellme what to get and then someone tellsme not to get them and i just wannaknow...What is the best car audio speaker?
you cant listen to everyone else all the time. If u wanna get the best speakers regardless of money then there are a plethora of companies that have very high powered competition grade speakers and subwoofer that will be loud and good. your best bet is to go to an audio specialties shop not best buy, walmart, or circuit city and see what they have. thats not to say that walmart and best buy dont have good brands, but an audio specialties shop will be able to answer most if not all of your questions.
I'll suggest JL audio, Audiobahn, and Memphis audio are all very good high quality brands to look into. to name a very small few.

I am 12 and I love to dance the jabbowookiez. I got the music for my dance in my MP3, but I want to do it outdoors. Where can I buy an audio speaker that I can insert my MP3 player in to hear sounds come out.
The audio speaker that I can plug my MP3 to. Does it has a name?
Just about anywhere that sells electronics. Some stores, such as Best Buy let you play some music on speakers they have there before you buy them.
Most portable speakers plug into the headphone jack on your mp3 player, so you won't even need an adapter.
I currently own a Sony DAV-DX155 home theater system and am looking into buying another receiver for this unit. Can I keep the speakers i have (that are wired into the walls) and just buy any new receiver (or maybe just a sony)? I need another receiver so I can enjoy full digital 5.1 surround sound with the devices I own.
One extra thing, how do i hook up the sub woofer that i have on the unit? All the receivers I looked at had no + and - output for the sub woofer.
As the first chap said, as long as your total impedances are fine for the new receiver, you're fine.
Don't, for heaven's sakes, buy another Sony receiver. There are better makers to buy from, for no more money, and often, for more features for the same money.
Look at Yamaha, Pioneer, Onkyo, and Denon, and have a look for them on amazon.com. Not only do they sell a lot of such gear, their review sections can really give you some great feedback from owners of the equipment.

Anthem, Conrad Johnson, Dish Network/JVC, Dynaudio, Infinity, Integra, JL Audio, Klipsch, Magnepan, Marantz, Martin Logan, Onkyo, Oppo, Outlaw Audio, Panasonic, Paradigm, REL, Sumiko, SVSound, and Toshiba are the brands equipment I currently use. I have owned/used and tested equipment made by just about any manufacturer you can name. I'm not sure what you mean by "pass thru sound from a receiver that doesn't have the decoding". If you mean a player that decodes and sends PCM to a processor, there is no difference whatsoever. If the decoders work properly, and I've never seen anything to indicate that any devices have bad decoders, then the PCM produced by a player or receiver will...
