I have a Sony Stereo that is amazing, now i have 4 speakers and a sub, but it just doesn't have the balls to push anymore...(not that i expect it to) is there an Amplifier that can be connected to a stereo to give it extra space for more speakers?
Absolutely, but that is not really the answer to your question. OK, you can go from your tape monitor output of your stereo to the tape monitor input of any other stereo, and drive another set of speakers, for sure.
Speakers are electric motors, they vary as widely as Volkswagen's and corvettes. Yours are inefficient. Your Sony probably has the power to run you out of the room, but your speakers can't do it. But... you already have those speakers, so, yes. Any cheap pawn shop stereo and speakers can be hooked up in the manner I told you and run you out of the room.
Hey, I want you to blow your doors off, too. Go for it.

With all the great internet radio stations wanted to know if this is possible without having to by new, expensive systems, computers etc.
Thanks in advance to all who answer. I will vote on best answer.
Yes, it's very easy. But it also depends on how far away from your stereo you computer sits. The closer, the easier it is to connect them.
You can connect it with a wire. That is the cheapest and simplest way. But you've got to get a wire from the computer to the home stereo reciever. If it sits close this is no biggie, but if not you might have to run a wire in the attic, and this gets tricky. You will need a wire like this if you choose to do it that way. You would plug the single-cable end into a "line out" jack on your computer. If your computer doesn't have a "line out" jack, then you could use a headphone out, but it would be better to use the "line out" if you have one. Then plug the dual RCA end of the cable into any audio input on your stereo reciever.

If you want to do this wirelessly, or if you computer is just too far away from your home stereo reciever to practically run a wire, you have an option like these.

Any of those on that page will wirelessly get your music on your PC to your stereo reciever.
The good thing about the second (wireless) option is they all have remote controls, so you don't have to use the computer keyboard and mouse to change songs, or pause, etc..

My mini stereo died, but I kept the speakers as they are quite nice (JVC). Is it possible to wire them to my G3 iMac? I really don't want to buy computer speakers, and it will be a bit before I can afford to replace my desktop stereo system.
Any help would be appreciated.
And how would you go about it?
I guess so.

My desktop Stereo speakers which play the speakers in reverse channels E.G. the left speaker plays sounds meant for the right and vice versa
the cords are too short to manually reverse the speakers and i know i saw this option somewhere so... how can i reverse the audio channels at a software level?
I got Soundmax. but i need step by step instructions.
If you have the SoundMax software, I think it has an option to switch the output. If not, you need to buy an extension cable. It's around $5.
i would like some speakers for my room, but i want them to be REALLY LOUD! i have a surround sound system but i hate all the wires going around my room.
i was thinking about getting a hi-fi system like this:

or getting desktop speakers like this:
http://www.techshout.com/images/altec-la nsing-mx6021-speaker-system.jpg
which would be louder?
and also; what other hi-fi systems/brands would you recommend? i love bass and loudness. preferbly under 200ish.
buy a reciever with 50-100 watt output then get speakers similar to these http://www.radioshack.com/product/index. jsp?productId=3475651 this particular type of design gives a large amount of full range bass with a tweeter giving high frequencies and they go extremly loud and if you want bass and loudness go for a kenwood or marantz receiver and stay away from computer speakers they dont go very loud

Logitech Z520 Speakers - Pocket-lint
The Logitech Z520 speakers are desktop stereo speakers designed to be paired with a computer or hooked up to an MP3 player. There is no subwoofer, remote or battery option - just two compact speakers and the wires to hook them up with.
With no clever functions, shiny widgets or frills of any kind it seems odd that a speaker set up like this would cost very much at all, let alone weighing in at close to a hundred pounds. At least it seems odd until you hear them.
Although the Z520s lack a separate subwoofer, the bass reproduction is still very good. Although this doesn't have the punch of an individual subwoofer, it still sounds great, providing enough rumble to bring some weight...
