Is there anyone that could recommend a medium to high quality audio speakers that fit properly in a '92 Corrado?
I have been looking to find what speakers will fit, I'm finding the specs to be very specific about what won't fit.
All the speakers I have found on line indicate that they do NOT fit.
Have yet to any speakers that DO fit.
Sure would like to find some information. Greatly appreciate your help.
Go to Crutchfield's website. They'll be able to tell you exactly what you need.

the audio quality in this one Honda i rode in was fantastic!! maybe it was because of the high-quality audio-system, the speakers, the antenna or any other factor for that matter. i am curious, however, as to what brand of speakers Honda mainly uses in most of their cars (i know some "premium" audio "packages" have it better than the "basic, bottom-rung" models). but even this Honda in particular was a bottom-of-the-line LX trim model and the sound quality from the radio was still good, better than Toyota's i would say. like for instance, Toyota uses JBL brand-name speakers (as indicated by their respective logos), Lexus uses Mark Levinson (prestigious for their prominence in the best home-entertainment systems) and they used to use Nakamichi (which is still good but is no more) back in the 90's, Nissan/Infiniti both use Bose as do others, and Hyundai is currently testing out Infinity (not to be confused with Nissan's luxury-division "Infiniti" spelled differently) brand audio-systems in their cars (kudos, Hyundai!). in fact, the new Hyundai Genesis exclusively offers an optional premium audio-system package that is the precise replica (or equivalent) of the one used in the Rolls-Royce Phantom sedan. "how sweet the sound!"
If I'm not mistaken I believe it's ////Alpine
I am in need of new speakers for my new home theater system, however as tech savy as I am, speakers are not my forte. The current speakers I run are 8 Ohm impedance, 150W, 91DB Sound pressure, with 36Hz-22Khz range. These are Onkyo Fusion AVs. I need a good pair of slim line speakers, and I have found a few that I like however I am not sure how they compare with my current set.
Can somone please explain to me which of these statistics should be lower, and which should be higher for optimal sound quality.
Thanks!
You want your speakers to handle your system's output power, so you'll need at least 150W speakers.
The 91 dB sound pressure is an indication of the efficiency of the speakers. Higher is more efficient, lower is less efficient. Remember that dB is logarithmic, so a 3 dB change is a factor of 2 (88 dB uses twice the power to sound as loud as your 91 dB speakers).
A key spec of the frequency range was left out, and that is the variation from one frequency to another -- i.e. +/- 3 dB. Ideally, you'd like +/- 0 dB so all frequencies would sound the same with the same power input, but that's not going to happen, so most spec how close they come to the ideal. A speaker with +/- 0.5 dB across the frequency range will sound far more accurate that one that is +/- 3 dB (remember that 3 dB is a factor of 2).
The wider and flatter (+/- 0dB) the frequency range, the better.
Impedance by itself generally doesn't relate to sound quality; you just need to match your amplifier's preference for best results.
But remember that the specs are the manufacturer's specs, not independently certified specs. You'd do well to consult audio review magazines for their test results of the speakers you're thinking of instead of believing the manufacturer's specs. They aren't perfect, either, but they will probably be more objective than the OEM.
About a month ago I had 2 rear eclipse speakers installed in my car, and about 2 days ago they blew out. I have 2 polk audio speakers in the front, and they are starting to go bad, but I got those like 8 months ago. Does anyone know if there are any really high quality speakers out there that wont blow out easily? Does it matter what kind of cd player you have, cause I have an eclipse player. Does it matter if you have an amp or not?
I would go with any of the Infinaty Kappas. I just put 2 pairs in my Element with a Rockford Fosgate Amp to power them and they ROCK!!!!!
I have a new laptop and I am trying to attach a pair of 125 watt speakers into the audio jack. I got 16 gauge wire, a super high-quality audio connector, which I soldered to the speaker wire. The whole thing is set up now and sounds great, but the 125 watt speakers can't even go as loud as the internal notebook speakers. I have the system volume turned up to the maximum and there is not a volume control on the speaker units. Any ideas?
Sounds like the speakers aren't preamped. The signal coming off your computer isn't enough watts to push the speakers to high volume.
Computer headphone jacks usually push about 10-15 watts: WAAAY less than 125! You are going to need a preamp or a receiver. I've got my computer hooked up to my Pioneer receiver (via the headphone jack and a Monster cable that's headphones on one side and RCA on the other - hooked up to the aux input on the receiver). The receiver is amping the sound so my 250-watt home theater speakers sound amazing!
Any audio amp/receiver with an aux in will work fine, and you can pick them up pretty cheap now.
Good luck!
