Home Audio Speakers Wire

I bought this set of pioneer speakers. they're an older set, but appear to be in top shape. I opened them up and somebody has got the wiring all screwed up. I need a scamatic that shows the proper wiring diagram. BTW the model # is
My speakers are pioneer model # CS-T7000 and they are a 4-way system

Most consumers don't open up a speaker box. How do you know that the wiring is all screwed up, are they all hookup or cut up. If they are still connected then it's ok, try connecting a source to the speaker and see if they work. No one can assist you if you did not provide the model number for the speakers. Try goin online to pioneer and provide the model number, they can probobly assist you better.

Tips on how to choose speaker cable for a variety of home audio applications.

I just got a new surround sound (my first)....and I want to hide all my wiring as best I can.

I may need more than the factory given wiring to do so......so I was thinking of going out and buying some speaker wire and just attaching it onto the factory wiring to extend the wire.

Will there be a significant audio quality loss ? It wont be THAT much extra wire being added on.

is there any difference between the audio wire use for home and the one use for the car.... or can i use a quality home theater cable for wiring the speaker in my car?
there is a monster cable MTX certified, it will be fine using it in my car?

car audio wire has better insulation and it is more durable. You can use house audio wire but it wont sound as good. plus you want to prolly use bigger gage of wire if you are hooking up subs!

Use a long RCA cable.

If you use speaker wire - you have to run wires from the left/right outputs to the sub, then more wire from the sub to the left/right speakers.

Then you have to tell your receiver your left/right speakers are LARGE and you do not have a sub to get things to work.

A single long RCA cable is simpler. You can even make your own with pre-terminated CATV coax and some "F-to-RCA-Male" adapters from Radio Shack. Subwoofer signals work fine and do not need any kind of higher end RCA cable.

yeah, i got 2 12" polk audio DB series speakers sitting in its box and i just want to hear them....the home stereo system is from like 1996 and its sounds real good... shall i try or will i run my subs? and oh yeah...the home system does have a sub out wiring port.

I used to have a similiar setup, I never had any problems at all.
