Jbl Speakers

Compaq Presario 5WV260 Desktop PC
Original system consisted of Compaq MV540 color monitor and JBL Platinum Series speakers. I now have an ACER X191W monitor and I want to use the JBL speakers I already have. I can't seem to locate the power cable/adapter that came with the JBL speakers. I've been told by HP/Compaq to connect the audio connector to the backside of the PC (green port) and the speaker power cord to a wall socket. Any suggestions?

Which is this best model for base?????

I assume you mean 'bass' (as in low frequency signals), rather than 'base' (as in the bottom of something)?

If you do mean bass, then go for the Creatures - even the hi-fi magazines reckon they are good!

Can I remove the tweeter and crossover and replace it with a JBL subwoofer crossover and turn them into subwoofers? We have 4 JRX125 speakers and really only need two of them so I was wondering if we could turn the other ones into subs? Thanks!

yes you would play lower frequencies accustomed to hearing from subwoofers but the magnet and driver are not made to hit that low and will end up melting the leads or frying the voice coil.
