Kenwood Speakers

I bought some Kenwood car speakers to replace my old factory speakers in my 2000 Mitsubishi Galant. The speaker is 6 3/4" speakers and that size is supposed to fit. When I took out my old speakers and tried to put in my kenwood speakers, it does not fit. It is a bit smaller than the opening so I can't reach the screw holes to screw in the speaker.
What can I do...get a speaker adapter bracket? If yes, what size?

You could seek the advice of a crutchfield representative as they have bracket choices they say fits your model and year.

Im trying to decide, I have a RX8 and i have already installed the Kenwood DDX812. The front are going to be Components, the rear are 6x8", and my center is a 4". What should I go with, the Infinity Kappas or with Kenwood Excelons? I will be powering the main 4 speakers off of a Kicker 650.4 amp and the center with a 100 watt Kicker amp.

I like the Kappas too - just be careful powering them. They have a 2 ohm impedance and will draw 170W RMS from a Kicker 650.4.

The Infinity (Kappa) Perfects handle that much power a little better - 10W RMS higher handling capability, but have much better resistance with 3 ohm impedance.

had power for about a minute then nothing. replaces battery and visually checked all fuses. disconnected new stereo and still no power. is there some kind of reset switch or relay?

If you have power to nothing, then likely you have blown a main fuse, these are going to be located under the hood, not in the passenger compartment. Also I remember subaru being fans of using fusible links, which look just like pieces of wire, which would have to be cut out and new link spliced in.

Is it possible to install two Kenwood KFC-W3012 subwoofers & 4 infinity 6022i speakers to a Kenwood KAC-6104D Class D mono amplifier?

If not, is it possible to do all that minus one subwoofer?

Yes But It Will Sound Horrible!

Use Two Different Amps To Separate Your Speakers From Subs

One Amp For Your Speakers And The Other For The Subs Because You Don't Want High Frequencies Going To Your Subs Because It Will Make Your Music Sound Like The Singer Or Instruments Are Covered By A Blanket.

If You Want Good Sound Spend More On The Extra Amp.

But To Summerize It. Yes You Can Hook All Those Speakers and Subs Up To One Amp

I am installing a new system in my truck, and am trying to pick a quality speaker.

It all depends on what style music you listen to and what kind of truck it is. A component set will give you the best overall sound versus a coaxial. For a reasonably priced component set, you can go with a set of Kicker, Pioneer, or Polk Audio. They will range from $159 to $199. Slightly more than a coaxial, but well worth it. Hope this helps
