Klipsch Speakers

I just brought my f-3 Klipsch speakers and they sound pretty good when set up properlly, but I wont to know is there a way I can make them sound even better? What kind of add on's do I need?

Speakers only output what they're fed. What are your source components? That will greatly influence sound, more than any other factor

If you can't upgrade components, be certain that your speakers rest on heavy, rigid stands. A tap with a finger towards the front and rear of the speaker should not move them or should show resistance. Experiment with placement, up/down, left / right.

i have klipsch speakers with a great subwoofer and wondering if it could be hooked up some how to car. Just the subwoofer.

Most house spekers are 8 ohm. Most car speakers are 4 ohm. The load at 8 ohm on an amp usually cuts the power in half with what the amp puts out at 4 ohm. So the amp would need to be twice the power.

You must also know the RMS watts of the speaker to get the most out of the system.

I am thinking about selling my Klipsch 5.1 Elite pc surround sound system. It is in excellent shape and was only used for about 6 months and has sat in our spare room since then. I was thinking about asking 200.00 dollars for them, do you all think that is to much or what do you think is a fair price?

a typical rule for selling electronics- if only a year(or less) old, in good condition, about half the purchase price. if the item is older or abused or damaged physically, you would have to ask even less. good luck. i have sold speakers and electronics on craigslist and had good results.

I have an old pair of Klipsch speakers with the RED and BLACK terminals on the back. Does anyone know how to hook these up to equipment with the standard Stereo RCA connectors and where I could purchase such leads?

Dude, saying you have an old pair Klipsch in your house is like saying "I have an old Maserati cluttering up my garage".

As far back as the early 70's I had hell competing against them as an audio salesman, even though my company made speakers with very similar design: cabinet design and porting, mid-range horns for brilliance and clarity, 12 DB per octave cut-off rates on the crossover networks, and killer low end drivers with aluminum voice coil assemblies for heat disipation.

Yes, Radio Shack can help you with RCA adapter pluqs to put on your speaker wires, probably with screws so you don't have to solder. Any other near-by electronic store can do the same. Take care of those "old" Klipsch, they just don't make them like that anymore.

The factory DIN plug on 2.1 THX Klipsch speakers are commonly defective. How can I replace it myself?

Which model are you talking about, and what is the problem with the Din plug? Some DIN plugs are soldered in while others are just crimped on, others are connected directly to a circuit board. If there are wires coming out of the DIN plug it would be easy to splice a new one in. IF there is any soldering involved you better be good!
