Jabra S5010 Klipsch Stereo Speaker has anyone heard of this brand?
Sony STR V-5

I just bought this item for 50 bucks and I want to know if I got a deal. Is Klipsch a good brand? I heard its right up there with Bose, is that true?

Yes Klipsch is a good brand. The deal you got is great. I am also considering purchasing the same speaker for my Zune. Only thing is that it will not charge it.

Garage Stereo System # 4

McIntosh MAC 4200 paired with Klipsch Synergy B2 and KEF Q1 bookshelf speakers

I have two Klipsch speaker with a JVC stereo system and when I plug the speakers in only one of them work.?
Polk Monitor 7 Speakers

I've tested each speaker and they both work but not at the same time. HELP!!!!!

Testing both speakers, each one separately, and finding that they do work clears the speakers of any fault, so the problem does lie in the JVC stereo.

First, check your connections. Make sure that they are made properly without any stray wires causing a short and so on. Also make sure they are connected to the proper amplifier outputs.

You could also try a different set of speaker cables, just in case.

Also double-check your settings to be sure they are proper.

If everything is in order yet there is still a problem, the amplifier may require service.

I have an old pair of Klipsch speakers with the RED and BLACK terminals on the back.?
Marantz 3200 Pre Amp Close Up

I have an old pair of Klipsch speakers with the RED and BLACK terminals on the back. Does anyone know how to hook these up to equipment with the standard Stereo RCA connectors and where I could purchase such leads?

Dude, saying you have an old pair Klipsch in your house is like saying "I have an old Maserati cluttering up my garage".

As far back as the early 70's I had hell competing against them as an audio salesman, even though my company made speakers with very similar design: cabinet design and porting, mid-range horns for brilliance and clarity, 12 DB per octave cut-off rates on the crossover networks, and killer low end drivers with aluminum voice coil assemblies for heat disipation.

Yes, Radio Shack can help you with RCA adapter pluqs to put on your speaker wires, probably with screws so you don't have to solder. Any other near-by electronic store can do the same. Take care of those "old" Klipsch, they just don't make them like that anymore.

If they ever blow a component, come back and we'll help you restore them. Glad to help, Mac.

Need to find out how much I can sell Klipsch speakers and components for?
Yamaha YP-D4 Turntable

I would like to sell my stero system, but I don't know how to find out a fair price to ask.

The components are Nakamichi. They are in perfect condition with a fabulous sound. I purchased them in 1987, so even though they have age on them, they sound as good as the first day. The components are CD Player (OMS 1A), Cassette deck which is probably not worth much, and SR 2A stereo receiver. I'm thinking the receiver and the speakers are what are worth the most. The speakers are heresy II loudspeaker system. Thanks if anyone can help me. I have lots of kids and grandkids that would grab them up in a minute, but I'm getting disgusted giving the ingrates so much.

Here's the current market price for your gear...

Klipsch Heresy II speakers . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . $176/pr. to $495/pr.
Nakamichi OMS 1A CD player . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . $20 to $60
Nakamichi BX-125 cassette deck . . . . . . . . . . . . $25 to $74
Nakamichi BX-300 cassette deck . . . . . . . . . . . . $61 to $180
Nakamichi Dragon flagship cassette deck . . . . $258 to $695
Nakamichi SR 2A receiver . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . $43 to $129

You may be able to get more depending upon your audience. I don't know which cassette deck you have, but Nakamichi cassette decks (and their reel-to-reel decks are what Nakamichi is most known for) were known back in the day as being the Rolls Royce of cassette decks, and still has a following today. I would recommend http://www.AudiogoN.com first and http://www.eBay.com second.

What type of receiver and speakers for a nice stereo/surround system?
Marantz 140,112, 3200 Stack

I am looking for a nice stereo set. I would use it for surround sound and to listen to rock music. I would like a suggestion on a receiver to get and some floor speakers. I hear that acoustech and klipsch or pretty good speakers. What else would I need to have a good surround with nice clear treble and bass. Should I get some bookshelf speakers and subwoofer to go along with these? It would not have to be anything that would shake the walls either.

To be perfectly honest I worked in CE for 11 years selling all brands of popular stereo equipment. All Brands! The best for the money... Pioneer.

Sony is ok, but the sound quality is'nt quite there.

One of the worst... BOSE. Overpriced and over advertised. Quite honestly the sound quality gives me a headache. No midrange.

Klipsch... Over priced.

Jamo... Verry good.

Polk... over priced, not too impressive either.

    Klipsch iGroove SXT Review

I’ve said it before. For those of you that missed it I’ll say it again. I LOVE music. My whole family loves music. We all have a few things in common and then we all like our own thing. As a result, each of us has an iPod. Sometimes the ear buds are fine but sometimes you want to listen to your music out loud. Like most people, I appreciate the difference between something coming out of one speaker and something coming out of our powerful home stereo system. I’ve checked out a couple of different speaker options for playing ...
