Itunes and other music programs work but there is no sound on the internet. (Myspace, Youtube etc.) Please help!
There shouldn't be any trouble with sounds from the internet, unless you have disabled the sound by mistake, or 'sounds' have been turned off in the internet options. Do give details of your version of web browser. The more details, the better.

Hello,
recently i got Logitech's X-530 5.1 surround sound system. At first, the rear two speakers didn't work at all, because i had a sound card with only one appropriate input. Then i got new sound card for 5.1 system and the problem remains. I've already installed the software and set in the speaker settings for 5.1 system but nothing changes.
Thank you for your help
Maybe the audio you are playing is just stereo? Try playing a DVD with actual 5.1 sound. The sound card should also have a setting that enables upmixing of stereo sound to 5.1 - which should make it use all speakers in all situations.

I have some Logitech 5.1 Surround Sound Speakers (they are like these, but older models http://www.logitech.com/index.cfm/speake rs_audio/home_pc_speakers/devices/234&am p;cl=us,en). There is a cable with a green, orange and black plug on the end and I want to know how to hook these babies up to my XBOX 360. Are there any other kinds of solutions to getting some quick, quality surround sound on my 360?
I'm not sure how to hook up the 5.1 Logitech Surround Sound PC Speakers to my Olevia 527V 27" LCD Display.
YOU need a receiver and home theater speakers not a PC speaker set. IF you are intent on using them you need a 5.1 Sound card and a PC.

I got my Logitech G51 Surround Sound speaker system today, rear speakers don't sound clear and crackle... the overall performance of the speakers are not as i expected them to be. My old speakers the "Logitech X230's" even sound louder and I used them on the Sound blaster Live! 5.1 sound card that i currently have installed on my system I had no problem with them speakers and I am also using my Logitech G51 Surround Sound speakers that i got today on that sound card, do you think I need a better sound card for these speakers or place them on warranty ?
I bought myself last year a logitech 5.1 speaker set. I like music and the speakers I bought did cost nearly as much as my complete comptuter
I had also the sound card Sound blaster live 5.1. It is a very good sound card, but I decided to get my self a new one. I bought Creative Sound Blaster Audigy. It is the follow up from the live 5.1. The sound I get now is fantastic and also the software you get with the cd is worth having.
The sound card did only cost me €29,95
It is really worth the money.

the Logitech X-540 Surround Sound Speakers are a 5.1, do u have to match the sound card w/ the 5.1? or i can get a higher version
The speakers should plug right into your motherboard's integrated audio. Just look at the back of your PC for the appropriate jack.
You don't NEED a discrete sound card, as the onboard sound offered by most motherboards these days is enough for most basic tasks, but they help when you're multitasking or playing computer games. Without a sound card, like the Creative X-Fi series, your CPU does all the sound processing. This, of course, causes other applications to run more slowly. With such fast processors (and multiple cores), it's less of an issue today than it used to be, but you'll notice improvements in sound quality and CPU utilization, if you invest in a separate sound card.
Just plug in the speakers, and if you're satisfied, don't waste your money on a new sound card. If your games are sluggish or sound crappy, buy a Creative X-Fi Xtremegamer.
