How do I wireup two X-Mini mono speakers to a 3.5mm stereo audio jack?

This speaker is a Mono speaker but sound is fantastic so was thinking of buying two of these and wiring a sort of bridge between the laptop/ipod headphone socket and 2 3.5mm pins that these X-Mini's use.

They just launched a stereo version called x-mini max, pretty cool......

Where is the 'mini audio jack' on a dell laptop?

I'm just setting up some speakers I got for my laptop for Christmas, and it wants me to connect this cable from the 'mini audio jack' to both of them, yet I don't see any jack that would fit it?
it is a Dell Inspiron 15 (1525) Laptop.

er... the headphone socket.

Is there a way I can hookup surround sound into an audio out port, & still use the original speakers as well?

I have Logitech x 540 speakers hooked up to my cd player (Sony MHC-GX470 Mini Shelf System) through the audio out port, and I wanted to know if theres a way that I can still use the logitech speakers without cancelling out the sony speakers.

Thanks

Probably not because most systems are set up to only use one set of speakers in order to protect the output transistors.

How to open my speakers ? because there is no screw !!?

I'd like to open the speakers of my mini "audio system", but it seems that it's not meant to be opened as I don't see any screw.
Is there a trick or any advice to open it (without destroying it).
Here is a quick view of the kind of device

Some are molded and arent meant to be accessible. That makes you buy new ones. Most will have a removable grill on front, may not be easy or obvious but usually the grill will come off and there screws holding the speaker in.
Good Luck

  • iLuv Mini Portable Speaker | DevicePedia.com

There are an awful lot of options out there for portable speakers to use with your iPod or MP3 player. All the big names have an option and then there’s this effort from iLuv . This speaker is shaped like an oversized pill but the sub $30 price is easy to swallow. It only weighs about 1 pound and it isn’t much bigger than your iPod or MP3 player. The speakers offer a decent depth of sound and are surprisingly not too tinny. You’re never going to get real quality from something this size but if you need a portable option you could do worse.

The device takes three AAA batteries and there is a power indicator so you’ll know when the batteries need changing. It is compatible with any device that can use the 3.5mm jack. It also ships with a drawstring pouch for convenient carrying. This is a decent option for people who need a portable speaker.
