Mini Stereo Speakers

I would like to put a small stereo system (AM/FM radio, MP3 player input, CD player) in my barn workshop and be able to hear it in that room. I'd also like to add two remote speakers in the outer barn area, and they can be hard wired to the stereo through an adjacent wall but wireless would be better. The barn will get very cold but the workroom will not get colder than 50 degrees. Any low cost (under $150) recommendations?

for you aux. speakers look at OWI 202 they are good in an out door environment and sound great and at under $150 a good buy. I would just get a used stereo from Craig's list the minis are not good if you do not use their speakers. I would not recommend wireless.

My mini stereo died, but I kept the speakers as they are quite nice (JVC). Is it possible to wire them to my G3 iMac? I really don't want to buy computer speakers, and it will be a bit before I can afford to replace my desktop stereo system.
Any help would be appreciated.
And how would you go about it?

This speaker is a Mono speaker but sound is fantastic so was thinking of buying two of these and wiring a sort of bridge between the laptop/ipod headphone socket and 2 3.5mm pins that these X-Mini's use.

I mean, how do I know if my Stereo Speakers has the same (Watts) as my Computer?
Cause I don't want to cause No Fire or anything like that.*

My Speakers are called, "TEAC" Speakers, if that makes any difference.
I threw away the 'main Stereo' part because
the Stereo broke. So I thought, ''Why trash these 2 BIG Speakers when they are almost brand new.''?
So I hooked up (only) the Speaker Wires to my 'Base-Box' on the floor.

It should be ok, but I would watch it, if they get warm then unplug them immediately, I think they have specialized speakers for those. But if the speakers have a plug-in of there own then it doesn't matter cuz they are getting the wattage straight from the outlet.
