What kind of audo cable should I use to make my 5.1 speakers the dominant audio for a sony bravia 32' monitor?

I bought a Sony KLV32U100 32" Bravia HDTV Tunerless LCD Monitor. I have a Logitech X-530 5.1 Speaker System for computers. Would there be a special cable for me to plug into that monitor to use the 5.1 speakers as the dominant audio source? I also plan to use a digital cable box with this monitor and use the sound from the speakers. Can I do this?

Can someone please help me?

You will need a regular AV cable only using the Red and White parts of it. Plug it into your TV's audio output in the back and then into the surround sound system and then Go into your TV's Settings and you will be able to disable the TV's speakers from there. When ur cable box comes you just unplug it from behind your TV and plug it into you cable boxes output and the video will go to the TV. If you have a problem you can call me from my website below.

How do i connect a 360 vga audio cable to my 3.5mm destop speakers?

ok, so i have a 360, vga cable with red and white rca audio jacks, acer monitor, and a 3.5mm flat speakers. i want to connect the two male rca audio output to the 3.5mm input but i cant find an adapter. Can somebody help me or do i have to buy new speakers. Thanks
yeah i want it in my room coz at the moment its in the front.

hmmm I think you can connect them thru the sound card on the back of your computer but your computer will have to be on for the sound to be heard.

Your best bet is just hooking it up to your tv, you can even hook it up thru a vcr or stereo receiver if they are already connected to your television. If you don't have a television you can buy a good LCD with component (rgb) connections for the cheap and you will get better picture quality.

Here is a link to the cable Steven B is talking about:

How can I plug my xbox 360 into a monitor by hdmi and have audio into pc speakers at the same time?

I have a monitor with 2 hdmi ports and a vga port. I have the xbox plugged into the monitor by hdmi cable but the sound isnt very good. How can I connect pc speakers to the monitor and/or xbox. The monitor also has an audio line in if this helps.

You can use the AV cable for just the audio if you want to use it that way. Sometimes people choose to do this if they want HDMI to their TV/Monitor while using the optical/RCA connections for sound. Check out http://www.amazon.com/Xbox-360-HDMI-AV-C able/dp/B000UODATY. You'll probably want to try something similar to this, or maybe just use the original AV cables the console came with. I hope this helps.

If my monitor has speakers do I need a 3.5mm splitter audio cable 4 my ps3 if Im using the HDMI (f) to dvi(m)?

to play my ps3 on my LCD 19" monitor

HDMI carries digital video plus audio. However, when a DVI adapter is used, only video can pass through since DVI is not capable of carrying sound. So you still need to connect audio separately with the audio cable.

Xbox 360 VGA Cable - Audio/Monitor Question.?

I'm looking to buy this LCD monitor: http://www.ebuyer.com/product/146911.

The monitor comes with integrated speakers and, I am aware that the Xbox 360 VGA cable comes with red and white RCA cables for audio (with an additional Y adapter to merge the two).

However, I do not have a desktop PC - I only intend to use this monitor with the 360 using the VGA cables.

Would it be possible to get audio from the 360 through the integrated speakers on the monitor? If not, then what other options would there be? I wouldn't mind using headphones if it comes to that :D, as long as the audio is good.

Thanks in advance!

It doesn't specify what type of audio input the monitor has. If it doesn't take RCA then I'm sure an adapter would work. To be honest, if you want good sound quality, I seriously doubt the built in speakers on that monitor will give it to you. You're probably better off going with some headphones (they make rca adapters for that as well)
