The title sounds stupid, but this is a serious question! I noticed that even when there are no sounds coming from my computer (i.e no cd or games or radio on) I still hear music or voices coming out of the speakers? It's only started doing this recently and I think maybe it's catching some air waves from a radio or something?? And could it be a sign that I have a virus and someone is hacking into my computer & listening to music????
OMG... even if I mute the volume on my computer, there are STILL sounds coming out of the speakers!!!! HELP!!!
You are likely picking up broadcasts from radios and television. I would unplug the speakers to see if they are getting it while plugged in.
Either the sockets you plug them into have loose soldiering or the plugs on your speakers that go into the sockets do.
If they are still getting feeds from other sources the wiring on your speakers are poor quality and are not sheathed properly.
Try some other speakers.
I unplugged my mp3 player from my cheap speakers, and out of no where mexican music is playing with no radio attached.
But I do not know how to get rid of it! I hear music and newscasts that fade in and out when ever the speakers are turned on. No applications are running I have no idea where this is coming from.
Is there a way to look for a program that may have installed it self on my computer?
The speakers are fine, not wireless its something on my computer, how can I track it?

It sounds like radiom my speakers are plugged in separatly. It's not loud, but loud enough. It is annoying. Where is it coming from? How can I stop it?
Could be a microphone or other input is being mixed back and you only muted the Windows ("system") driven sounds.
There is also something called zero-bit mute, but most cards/speakers don't have that ability.
Open the Windows Sound "Mixer" with it muted and start muting other inputs to see which one is doing it.

How do i get music coming from my computer monitor (monitor stereo speakers built in) and not my headphones?
Ive tried fiddling about with the sound and audio devices area to no anvil so I set the options back to where they where before.
there should be a jack on our monitor, it will look like a headphone jack, u plug in a 1/8 cable from there to your coumpter, if it does not have that jack then it does not have speakrs
the speaker of the computer has been playing wierd music. But there is no music being played and the internet is off. how can i stop this? and why is there unexpexted music coming when there is no music being played??
Well, you can unplug the speakers, it's the easiest thing to do. Seriously though, if music is playing when there is nothing open you could have a serious virus/malware problem. You should do a virus scan, or if you don't have one use this: http://housecall65.trendmicro.com

Come October 13th, your speakers won't have a prayer. Savannah, Georgia's Baroness will release their new album, Blue Record, and it may well become an instant classic as the four-piece rockers continue their music legacy from 2007's Red Album. The soaring melodies and striking riffs, trademarks of Baroness' sound, are more powerful than ever and if there is any musical justice in the world this band should receive heaps of it for this release. Fronted by the incredible guitars of John Baizley and Pete Adams and mix in the the drums of Allen Blickle and bassist Summer Welch and you have what
