is a pioneer music system with jbl speakers a good option without using an amplifier.. i am loking for a set up which does not go beyond 8k Rs . you can also suggest any other options which you find good........
Hi there,
Try this setup. Go for A Sony MP3 CD receiver(CDX-GT270S). Add a set of 10 cms 2-way co-axial speakers at the front(XS-GTF1025B). In the rear parcel shelf custom fit a pair of 6" X 9" 3-way co-axial speakers(XS-GTF6935B). This set up must not cost you more than Rs.9,000. Have fun!
I only gave examples of Sony as it was easier for me. You could use similarly rated Pioneer, Kenwood, etc if you find them for a better price.
Big bucks system with sound that is subtle and detailed but can get in your face or shake your booty if the music calls for it. Extreme audiophile ...
My cd player/changer is broken, so need a new one. Have a Sherwood receiver. And want new speakers for the computer. Have a little money to spend for a change. Do I scrap the receiver and start from scratch, or can I get something high-powered that's compatible? Was going with a Bose, but everyone here talked me out of that. Said to try kliptsch (sp?) onkyo, or denon. Please help me.
Also have 23" Yamaha speakers for the stereo.
As an audio engineer my golden rule is this, all audio is absolutely subjective. What sounds good to me, may or may not sound good to you. We all hear completely different from others. So take your favorite CD and go out and listen to several system combinations, between receivers, amps, and speakers. Don't buy into what other people tell you is the "best". It's going to be in your house. Pick what you like. And always stay within budget. Price does not always equal quality. As a side note, I usually go with Sony products. They're affordable, and last for many years.

can u suggest me brand and model number of system i have budget around 15k without moniter
Idk if you meant 1500? but im guessing you were. If so then i say get 2 dd 2515s. They will hit hard and sound awesome. Just get them with an amp from DDaudio.com
And if you did mean 15,000 lol then i'd get like 4 dd z 18s. DD also has really good amps. Good luck.

Oh, and thanks for not smoking !
The best sounding speakers are the ones that are OFF.

LaCie Sound2 speakers for your PC
There’s also a stereo line input for rigging up other devices, and the speakers can either be powered by USB or by an included external output. The former sounds handy for laptops and netbooks when you’re out and about, while the latter offers superior performance. They can deliver 30W of power at peak output, which isn’t at all bad for a pair of diminutive desktop boxes.
The LaCie Sound2 speakers look the part as well, thanks to some unique styling from industrial designer Neil Poulton. If you like the sound of them (no pun intended), they’re available now from LaCie’s website.
