Outdoor Music Speakers

I'm going to a 3 day music festival and I'd like to bring some large house speakers to play off my ipod, I was wondering if there might be a way to power the speakers without using my car or spending a lot of money. I was thinking there might be a way to hook it all up to a car batterey, (seperate from car) but I wouldn't know how. Does anybody have any good ideas?

Aren't you supposed to listen to the music on the stage?

There are portable, recharchable, baterries/inverters that provide AC power; about $150. Check camping supplies and other hardware stores.

She has chosen her own music and, of course, would like good quality sound, but I'm not sure what would work best playing the music from an iPod and doing so outside. Any suggestions? Anything out there in the $50 to $100 range?

you can use a home stereo and buy this cable connetor http://www.walmart.com/catalog/product.d o?product_id=9875901
you hook it up to the music port of your stereo or AUX if it either has one of these, then the other end you connect to your ipod and you can listen as if you were on a cd. I use it on my ipod and home stereo and I have a pretty good stereo and sounds good for a party.

I'm just wondering, I want to get a new pair of bookshelf or indoor/outdoor speakers (something that can be hung on the wall) and I want to know what speaker will give me the best bass on a strict budget (under $100 per pair to be exact). I mostly use my speakers for clubbin/techno/dance/electronic type music and need to achieve the best bass without having a huge subwoofer in my tiny room. Any ideas?

We wanted to have our wedding reception at our friend's ranch, we do not have any outlets nearby to power the speakers for music. We live in a rural town, so our options for hiring bands is limited. I wanted to play music from my ipod, I just don't know if it is possible to hook up speakers without an outlet. Should I get a generator, or will it be too annoying? Does anyone have any suggestions for me? I appreciate any advice.

Is it possible to hire a single musician?? One flutist? One guitarist?

Hire just one single musician, someone who can bring his/her instrument along.

I suggest asking your local high school band director if he/she knows any good flutists.

You don't.

A "Home Theater in a Box" as they are called are not expandable.

You are better off just getting a basic receiver and a pair of speaker for you patio if you want to go the cheap rout.

Otherwise you would have to replace everything to achieve "second zone" capabilities. (to do it right)
