Outdoor Stereo Speakers

I have an older JVC stereo system and want to hook up wireless outdoor speakers to it, but the JVC has the old style wire clamp system for the speakers. Is there some sort of adapter I can get?
I have the transmitter, there's just no way to hook it up to the stereo, because it does not have output jacks.

You need a speaker level to line level converter:

I have outdoor speakers that run to my stereo receiver. Can i show a movie outside using a projector and have the sound come through those speakers? or do i have to have some other kind of speakers attached to the projector? i guess i'd be using a DVD player with the projector.

Yes it can be done.

Video cable from the dvd player goes to the projector.

Audio cable goes from the dvd player to the receiver.

Set receiver and projector to correct inputs, pop the popcorn and enjoy!

The only really decent equipment made for all weather use is boat electronics - these are totally waterproof, would be able to drive an 8 Ohm outdoor speaker, and most even play CDs - you could mount it in your deck or inside a bench, etc. You would need a 12V DC power source and these are available at Radio Shack.

I want to put together an outdoor stereo system, so I can play CD's outside. I thought I could put a shelf system inside our shed, then install outdoor speakers under the eaves. But, I really need to know if I can put more than just two speakers on one system because I need to direct sound to two different areas in the yard. Can I install two right and two left speakers to the same stereo?

Yeah you can.Even if your stereo doesn't support it on the back (L+R)Hell,you could run 8 speakers if you wanted to.People seem to think that you need a 300 watt amp and 400 watt speakers(100 watt per speaker)but thats100% wrong(thats ghetto thinking).The only way to get "loud" is to push more air(more speakers)Doesn't even matter if your stereo is a mere 25 watts,with 4 speakers thats loud as hell because your pushing more sound through the air(saturation)Good luck!

I want to put some outdoor speakers under my patio but I don't own a large stereo system and all the ones that I can find need to be wired to a big stereo. I just want to be able to plug in my mp3 or cd walkman to them. I have an outdoor power point so if the speakers need a power source that's ok. Can anyone help me????

ok, you can get desktop speakers by logitech, I have a pair of desktop speakers by Logitech, and I love them because I can plug them into everything, my laptop, my daughters mp3 player, and yes even my portable sony cd player, they aren't bulky or anything yet they come with 1 subwoofer and 2 smaller speakers. So, they are perfect for moving them from one place to another.
