How Helpful are oxygen free copper cables, when it comes to audio quality? such as speakers or headphones.

Trying to buy headphones, but two basically the same models differ $50 where the more expensive ones only come extra with OFC connecting cord.


It is a total myth - just get the cheaper ones if they are the same otherwise.

Oxygen Audio booth @ CES 2010


This car has more speakers than I have ever seen in 1 vehicle lol

Suddenly no sound, still none after reinstall driver. Tried to update, get "plug in c-media oxygen hd audio"??

Suddenly my computer is not making any sound. I have a speaker port on the front and when I plug the speakers into those there is sound, but when I plug them back into the usual one at the back there is none. My original sound card is a c-media one from 3 or 4 years ago. I tried to update it/install the latest driver but when I run the install it brings up this message: "Please plug in "C-Media Oxygen HD Audio" and install driver again.". Can anyone please help me as I've wasted about 8 hours on this!!! Thanks heaps.
Thanks for your prompt replies but I get that message when I try to upgrade the driver. It says "please plug in...and install driver again" when I'm trying to install the new driver. I also already tried a system restore back to when I had sound but it didn't help. Do you have any other ideas? Please?!!!
PS: I'm hoping to avoid installing a new sound card as I don't know how to do that myself and so would have to take my PC somewhere. Thanks for that suggestion but I'll leave it 'til I have nothing else to try.


Try System Restore.First click on start then on all programs then on accessories then on system tools then on system restore.It will definitely work.

My real-life use would be to kick off playback of the strings arrangement at the end of Bowie's 'Life On Mars' but I'm not convinced the Oxygen quite has the features required (i.e. to store about four bars of eight quavers of descending notes plus more).
