What do you think about the Kicker KX850.4? Is it to much?
this is only for treble? if so you should get a 4/3/2 channel eclipse amp. you would need only 75 watts by 4 channel then you can bridge them down to two channels. make sure it has a built in crossover so you can filter out all the bass. if you cant find eclipse try Rockford fosgate, pheniox gold, or clarion. stay away from sony xplode, jbl- they over rate their amps on the wattage.

Car: '97, 4dr Geo Tracker, Head: JVC KDG430, Dash speakers: 4" Infinity Reference.
Is there any benefit to putting 6" Kicker, Polk, Oz Audio, Sony, etc. in the rear to replace the factory speakers? Is there a benefit to sticking with Infinity Reference for the rear?
An amp & sub are NOT options since I park on the street, and don't want to tempt thieves with the sight of a sub in my cargo space. So, the rear speakers are my chance to do something special.
I mainly listen to 70s funk, and Caribbean music. So, clean, rich bass is important. Throbbing bass isn't necessary. I actually have enough bass right now, but the rear speakers are struggling.
well the benefit to sticking with one brand is not all brands sound the same. some brands are more bass heavy, some brands are better with all around SQ, and some brands just flat out suck. it all depneds on what you like. personally i like Infinty, but there Kappa line is by far better then there referacne stuff. Infinity is a overall good SQ brand, with pretty good bass. if i were you i'd stick to Infintiy or one of these brands that will have about the same sound.
Boston Acoustics
Kenwood Excelon
Diamond Audio
these brands will give you great overall SQ which seems to be what your looking for.
brands i would avoid, is pretty much anything you can buy at Best Buy or Circut city. granded BB is probably where your Infinitys came from, but there is better stuff out there, like there Kappa line as i mentioned before.
good luck

im tryin to run 2 of these subwoofers efficently
A 900 watt RMS @ 4 ohm amp will be perfect as long as you wire the subs like so - http://i81.photobucket.com/albums/j230/s parky3489/PARALLEL-SERIES.jpg
This method will give you the cleanest sound with the least distortion with the gain set correctly.
The purpose of the gain is to match the signal volts RMS coming from the source (CD player, etc.) to the input of the amp.
Unless you know EXACTLY what distortion sounds like, I don't recommend setting this by ear.
Here is a guide that will help you set the gain correctly http://www.datafilehost.com/download.php ?file=6d26c621
You'll need a multi-meter (AC voltmeter), Microsoft Excel and a way to burn an audio CD from an MP3.
If you don't have Excel, e-mail me and I'll send you a condensed version sparky3489@yahoo.com
This site http://www.subwoofertools.com/forum/setg ain.asp will also do the same.

My take: The Wizard of Oz (70th Anniversary Collector#39;s Edition ...
Everyone has seen The Wizard of Oz and if you haven't there has never been a better time. The did film receive a remaster back in 2005, the last time it was released on DVD. However, Warner has gone back to the original master of the film and remastered the original negative once again to create a new 8K transfer. They then took that 8K transfer to make a 4K transfer for this Blu-ray release so it is obvious that the film has never looked better since its theatrical debut 70 years ago. The story of course follows Dorothy Gail as she is haphazardly stuck in a tornado in her Kansas farm home only to be knocked unconscious. She is then whisked away to the land of Oz where she must find the Wizard...
