Pc Audio Speakers

I have a monitor with 2 hdmi ports and a vga port. I have the xbox plugged into the monitor by hdmi cable but the sound isnt very good. How can I connect pc speakers to the monitor and/or xbox. The monitor also has an audio line in if this helps.

You can use the AV cable for just the audio if you want to use it that way. Sometimes people choose to do this if they want HDMI to their TV/Monitor while using the optical/RCA connections for sound. Bye the way, i have my ps3 connected to a computer monitor via an hdmi to dvi input and i dont wanna buy a seperate receiver to get audio. Just looking for any type of pc speakers with an optical audio port since the ps3 only has this option to connect digitally. Thanks!

I think logitech make a low cost surround sound pc speaker with sub that has optical input.

I use optical audio on my ps3, but with component output, because HDMI also contains audio, you may want to check that the optical out still operates while HDMI is in use

there is no red and white cable port on my pc speakers so how would i get my audio into my pc speakers?

I want to buy PS3 and I have Altec Lansing vs 2421 PC speakers.
I want to send Audio ouput (composite audio ) to PC speakers DIRECTLY. I know that we can connect it to audio-IN of PC sound card and get the audio-out to speakers. But I want to direcly connect composite audio to PC speakers

I know that composite audio is analgoue and it needs to be converted into digital output for speakers. Is there any converter out there? which can do this?

there are converters at best buy that can do this but im not sure of the brand.

i own a 5.1 logitech speaker system.... with a old creative sound blaster live 8000. the surround speakers blew up and don't work anymore.... and sometimes i need to twist the green audio wire plugged to my sound card to get sound. What's causing this damage to my speakers + wires? is it the creative sound card?? thats out of date.... or is it my speakers that was poorly designed? i used them for a good 3 years .... http://www.techwarelabs.com/reviews/audi ... and im planning on buying the Z-5500 tomorrow after xmas...... but im worried it might blow up with the same sound card??? should i just buy the new creative series X-Fi sound cards?

Has nothing to do with your sound card. This comment of yours "and sometimes i need to twist the green audio wire plugged to my sound card to get sound" gives it away. That cable is shredded on the inside. All you need to do is get a new cable. You should not have to twist it to get sound out.
