I would really love to push two 15" speakers but do not know which kind can take that type of power but still stay in a family mans budget!
With an amp like that there is not much budget you can keep, if you want to get all the power out of an amp like that you will need a pair of kicker competition 12 inch subs or if you want to push 15's you want something like a pair of earthquake's. These are the only subs that will endure the power you are planning to push. With a setup like that you wont be able to hear a trane right next to you. Nice
Went to go get some interrior pieces for my 300zx project and was digging around some other cars and found some planet audio components from a 280 ...
Hey guys
I'm planning on buying one or two Planet Audio 10" sub/s (RX1028) for AUS$29.95 + $9.95 shipping each, is this a good deal? are their subs any good?
I can also get a Planet Audio amp 150Wx2 for umm $149 (same postage)
These good prices?
Should I upgrade my speakers as well (they're stock ones in an '00 Alfa Romeo 156). Speaking of which I could get 2 Planet Audio 2-way speakers for $19.95 (same postage)...
So all up it'd be..
Amp - $149
Sub - $29.95
Speakers - $19.95
3x P&H - $29.85
Total - $228.75
Worth it?

This is the Sub - http://www.planetaudiousa.com/main/513 (RX1028)
These are the Speakers - http://www.planetaudiousa.com/main/525
Thanks again
Okay guys just found out I can get this amp http://www.planetaudiousa.com/main/494 for $50 less... Will this do the job for that sub? Please recommend a combination for this lot I'm really looking for the cheapest stuff but if this is no good then yeah please say
What things should I do to ensure a good installation?
i have used planet audio for many systems and have liked them all. i have a 8" sub the m2 series same as your sub and it does a good job for being an 8". If you look at the torq series you might be able to go a little cheaper but you are getting some good prices on that gear.
good luck

about to buy a new audio setup for my car pputting two l7's in the back and was just wondering what would be a good setup inside the car
i'm thinking the cadence CVLS-69C (100 watts rms) for the back a planet audio 1200w multi channel amp (4x150 watts rms) but don't know what i should get for the component speakers. what's a good set of 4x6 speakers for the front for this setup?
Hmmm i have had some decent luck with newer cadence products, although they arent what they used to be... same with planet audio.
What are you going to use for the subs? That planet audio amp would be underpowering them quite a bit.
Are you sure you cant modify the opening for bigger speakers? 4x6 is a pretty weak size... but infinity, polk, boston, etc. all make decent plates.
Alright i have a L5 12 inch sub and a kenwood amp pushing 750 watts rms to it and a planet audio 60 x 2 amp runnin my other speaker in my car which is 2 tweeters 2 pioneer 6.5's and 2 duals 6.5's and i have all of them hooked up to that planet audio amp. everything works alright but when i turn it the volume up to like 30 after about 10 minutes my music gets all distorted from the amps overheatin what could be the problem?
yea actually its 6 speakers lol but i thought the same thing probably running at a way lower ohm then its supposed to man now ima have to re wire all that crap again.
if your running 4 speakers on a 2 channel amp you could be running it at a lower ohm load than the amp is rated for causing overheating of the amp
