Portable Audio Speakers

I want to install outdoor speaker outside on the deck by my pool. I am trying to do research about it but i dont know where to start. I want them to be portable so i can use them for mutiple things, like installing them on my boats when we go out to the river so i dont have to buy a whole bunch of speakers for different things. At the same time i really want great quality with strong bass and all-around sound...............PLEASE HELP i would so a ppreciate it

If you are doing "research" then why didn't you just GOOGLE... "waterproof speakers"?

Try looking up West Marine... they sell boat supplies... INCLUDING water proof speakers

60 watts is kind of weak for a group like that. an in-line cable hooked to a decent system or a transmitter hooked to the zune sitting on a decent system would work well. i've used my zune linked to a sony x-plod boombox and that sounds very good, but not for a party that sized. good luck

Are there such things like a mp3 player or sometype of portable player that has an output of audio with less than .05% distortion disregarding what earphones or speakers are being used and what type of output jack it has?

Or are the Mp3 players today ,such as the ipod, able to play audio with less than .05% distortion.

Also, what non-portable audio player produces the highest quality sound?

It must have a 'Tempo' option. This will allow making the audio-book be read faster. Sometimes you just want the information from the audio-book and the speaker is talking to slow. Also, I want to listen to more books in less time.

In iTunes, you can set audio books to play faster. Also, any iPod will keep track of where you are in the file (cheap media players won't save your place) so you really can just go from book to book more quickly.
