For people who are really good public speakers?
Day 384 - Liberated Transparency: Join the Conversation

I know I'm a god public speaker and I don't get very mervous but is there any tips anyone can give me so I can get a really good mark? I'm in year nine and I'm third speaker for the affirmative team in a debate.

many good advices here. in addition,
think of what point you try to make, and make it simply. do not dwell on it. once you made your point, move to the next.
identify your audience: if it is a public debate: you have 2 audiences minimum: the opposite speakers, and the public watching the debate. you need to connect with both (neither would appreciate being "ignored")
Time yourself and do not rush.

tip: next practice run, record yourself and listen! you'll pick up on things you will want to correct!

best of luck

you can write weekly in a news paper.
first, make your own website, write a book, or make your own tv show (through media).

Do newscasters & professional public speakers take class to learn to 'bob' their heads all over when they talk?
Liberated-Transperancy-Salon_MG_9066-Edit

Most newscasters and public speakers bob their heads up and down and side to side very unnaturally when they speak. Where do they learn this very annoying and uncomfortable task? and Why?

I have very rarely had anyone do this when talking to me. None of my teachers have ever done this weird phenomenon.

So you want the news casters to sit still and be like a talking sign? How very weird. :)

People who are living do move around when they they talk.

can jesus of nazareth be considered one of the world's greatest public speakers?
Liberated-Transperancy-Salon_MG_9044-Edit

Put aside your religious and/or spiritual beliefs when answering this question. I need to do research on a world famous speaker and thought Jesus Christ might be a unique person. Aside from everything religious, can we agree that Jesus was a great motivational speaker? What characteristics make him such a great public speaker? Can Jesus Christ be considered a great philosopher? Please give me your insights. Please note I have placed this under arts and humanities as this is not regarding religion.

Religious and spiritual beliefs aside, Jesus' followers did so because he performed miracles, not for his speeches. His speeches were repeats of older, and commonly known, fables and myths of the day. So the content falls short of "great". It would be like someone repeating MLKs speech and claiming to be an orator. Jesus' gimmick was that he'd entertain the crowd, or give them something in return for hanging around. Except for a few confidential talks with his close friends, little was publicly presented without supposed supernatural feats. Sermon on the mound - Fish and bread for everyone, Wedding party - wine from water, Fishing - walk on water. Throw in curing blindness, raising the dead, clearing leprosy, and flames of the holy spirit floating around, and I'd say he was compensating for an audience that wouldn't have otherwise been interested in the man or his speeches.

What are some websites that list good public speakers?
Liberated-Transperancy-Salon_MG_9025-Edit

My company is starting a speaker series and wants to bring in speakers on all types of diversity and inclusion. Are there websites out there with lists of such individuals? What are the addresses?

Eye contact keeps your audience attentive.  You should move your eyes from audience member to audience member and speak to directly to each person you have conatct with.  That eye contact will actually be felt by everyone close to that individual and it rivets the listener to you.  By becoming skilled at using eye contact as you speak to a crowd, you are taking control.  And having control is a big key to success in public speaking .
