will stereo speakers work with home theater center and rear speakers?

I do not get good sound in the rear speakers when I use stereo speakers -sansui sp7500 - for the front speakers.Do i need to upgrade to speakers designed for surrond sound?

My 2006 Scion xB's Alpine stereo rear speakers will not work.?

I've used the volume knob to turn the rear speakers up using the fader mode but there is no sound at all using only rear speakers. The fuses were checked and they are OK. Other than the fact that I have zero rear speakers the satellite system, DVD, and stereo works great. Help!!!


My DVD system stopped working in my Scion xb. I have the release Envy. I called Scion and they are going to call my dealer who already had figured out the problem. You said your DVD is working fine but Scion said something was wrong with the Alpine System. Here is a number to call and tell them about your problem. They will help. 1-866-707-2466. The guy I talked to is at ext. 73410. His name is Shawn but if he is not there it will transfer you to someone else who can help. Make sure you tell them it is the Alpine in the xb 06. You can also get some info on problems at scionlife.com. Hope you get it worked out.

How can I tell if there is a break in the connection between my stereo and rear speakers? (in my car)?

They don't work,


Get an ohm meter for about ten dollars. Tie the wires together at the speaker and put the ohm meter at the radio. Touch one lead to one side of the speaker plug and the othe lead to the ground of the speaker plug. If the ohm meter beebs, it's a good connection.

My rear speakers for my car stereo (stock for a pontiac grand am) cut out \ BUT work when its sunny?

The rear speakers never work at nightime... only during sunny days. They also dont work if it is rainy or cloudy out. it is a Pontiac Grand Am with nothing altered in the stereo at all. Any thoughts??????
Yes it is wierd.... and NO they arent solar powered.

What are the best brands of stereo speakers that might sell used on ebay for around $100?

I'm looking to get a pair to serve as rear speakers for my stereo system. Model recommendations would also be appreciated.


Look for the Boston Acoustics HD or CR series or a clean pair of ADS. Klipsch is OK, but stay away from Bose and Polk and most of the no-name brands. Other than that, it's a hit-and-miss game on eBay. There's lots of good used gear to be had at a great price on eBay, so just do your research and you should find a great pair within your price point.
