Any recommendations for a mini-stereo system with two remote speakers in a barn?

I would like to put a small stereo system (AM/FM radio, MP3 player input, CD player) in my barn workshop and be able to hear it in that room. I'd also like to add two remote speakers in the outer barn area, and they can be hard wired to the stereo through an adjacent wall but wireless would be better. The barn will get very cold but the workroom will not get colder than 50 degrees. Any low cost (under $150) recommendations?

for you aux. speakers look at OWI 202 they are good in an out door environment and sound great and at under $150 a good buy. I would just get a used stereo from Craig's list the minis are not good if you do not use their speakers. I would not recommend wireless.

'95 Toyota 4runner stereo install..Back speakers only work with tuner?

but when i play a cd only the front speakers work...I have everything connected correctly to the wiring harness purchased...however, I do have 2 extra wires from my alpine aftermarket stereo, Pink/black power antenna and Blue/black remote something(lead). I keep reading the it may have something to do with the Blue/Black remote wire, but I've connected everything there is to connect. Do I have the incorrect harness...it says for 95 toyota(along with every toyota from 77 on) and I do have power antenna which is broken anyway so I have no way to test. Thanks
I would really like to avoid the removal of my in dash wiring harness. ..

Those wiring harnesses are very unreliable in my experience. It's probably not your fault, the harness might not fit the car. They say the harnesses are for a wide range of cars, but I have yet to find one to work after installing several stereos. My advice would be to used the harness that comes with the radio, and attach the wires directly to the wires in your dash. There should be a sticker on your old radio that will tell you which wires are which

What is a good stereo system/speaker that is compatible with iPod and is wireless?

I've been longing for a set of GOOD iPod speakers and/or stereo system that has a wireless remote, is loud, clear, physically small, and ideally cheap ( cheap as in fairly priced, not as in bad like Toys R Us crap ) Anything helps!

Do you have a stereo with a cassette deck?

Check out the cassette deck really closely. Take an old pair of headphones or a similar wire, lead it in there, and slowly close the cassette door. If it closes all the way, congratulations! We can go on from here.

Now, what you want to do is go out to Best Buy or Radioshack or wherever and look for one of these thing-things:

The quality is whatever quality your stereo can put forth. They're very cheap (Usually under 15 bucks, most likely around 10) Bonus points: You can use it in the car, too. It's also very small!

Mine is pretty old, so I can only use the volume and pause functions on my remote, but who knows? They might have something more advanced now.

Also a choice if you already own a stereo is the iPod docking station. It's expensive for what it is, but it's very small, very basic, nothing you really don't need:

Then there's the actual made-for-iPod speakers, which aren't cheap in any sense of the word. CNET gives reliable reviews most of the time; I'd suggest looking there:

Combine all remotes into universal remote?

I have a comcast remote, a receiver and a stereo speaker system. They all have their own remotes. The stereo speakers is actually a really nice ipod speaker that happens to have audio input. Is there a universal remote that can read IR signal to program it? I know for a fact no universal remote will have codes for this ipod speaker, But all signals are IR. So is there a universal remote that can learn an IR signal by like pointing the current remote at it? It would need to be able to work with the stereo, the comcast remote, and the receiver remote.

Thanks to anyone who can help

Visit http://www.remotecentral.com and read the reviews of the available remotes, or check their files section to see if the have a codeset for your device.
Like the other guy said, you have remotes with learning functions, so you can teach those almost anything.

(Creative T6100) How to play stereo mp3's through the entire system (all speakers)?

I'm trying to listen to mp3's through a Creative T6100. The mp3's are stereo, and are only coming out the front left and front right speakers. The X-540 has a 'matrix' button on the wired remote that plays stereo sound through all speakers. Is there any way to do this with my T6100?

Thanks
@Joey: That's how I'm set up now. I have the T6100 hooked up to my PC. Is there a program I can download or something? or a way to configure Winamp to use all speakers? I suppose I could use another media player if I had to, but I'd prefer to figure out how to do this through Winamp.

The quick answer is, No this is not possible with the T6100s.

In order to play the MP3 songs on all speakers in the T6100 you must connect the 6100 to a computer and play the MP3s directly from the computer.
