How To Fix Computer Sound Problems In Minutes

Are you having computer sound problems?Well you have come to the right place. In this tutorial I will explain how to fix computer sound problems ...

What should I consider when buying a sound card and speakers w/ subwoofer(for PC)?

What specs should I look for when buying speakers w/ subwoofer for PC? And also in a sound card?

Take a look at the Logitech Z-5500s. These are recommended as the best 5.1 speakers you can get for a PC (without spending a small fortune). The bass is incredible! Any old sound card that costs more than $50 and isn't generic will be awesome.

Should I get a new set of speakers or a new sound card?

Hi.
I've been thinking about getting a new sound card recently.
I have a Logitech Z-5300e + Turtle Beach Santa Cruz combo,
so please keep that in mind before you give me an advice. My speakers lack tweeters, and I've heard sound coming out of a klipsch pro-media speaker which sounded better than mine. Would my speakers sound much better if I get it plugged into a X-Fi sound card than its combination with a turtle beach Santa Cruz sound card, or would there not be much of a difference? I've read on internet sites how people wrote X-Fi is worth the money, but the fact that my speakers lack tweeters concerns me cuz its improvement may be limited due to the lack of tweeters. Santa Cruz doesn't sound all that bad with my speakers, and if X-Fi isn't that better than Santa Cruz, I may just stick with Santa Cruz. I don't play games, so EAX isn't all that important to me I guess. For those of you who have Z-680 or Z-5500 with a X-Fi card, your advice may be very helpful to me.

Buy new speakers and a sound card and send me your old ones!!

Seriously,

Can you borrow your friends speakers to test if they make a big difference on your computer?

What sound card is he using? Did you install all the latest drivers for your sound card?

If you want to buy a new sound card, buy only those that are rated 5 stars and have a lot of reviews.

Most 7.1 cards most are compatible with 5.1 speakers
Download the manual from mfr site to be sure it is compatible with 5.1. All the 5.1 cards at newegg.com are not rated that good.

how do you tell if your sound card is crashed or your speakers are crashed?

How do you tell if they have crashed(not just by not hearing anything), like if i open up my comp, will i be able to notice if the speakers or sound card is crashed??

Open your control panel (Start>Control panel>System>Hardware>device manager>sound, video and game controllers) and see if there any yellow !'s or red x's next to the name of your sound card. if there are your drivers are corrupt, missing or need to be updated.

  • Sound issues :( - TankSpot

If anyone out there is like me you almost dread opening up any post that has to do with sound related issues. In previous experience with older computers, trying to get the sound drivers and configurations of speakers working the way you want them to is unbelievably irritating. With that being said, I am still at a loss for where to go with my current computer problems. I'll try to keep this short and to the point but I can add as much detail as anyone needs to help and pinpoint the problem. Essentially for whatever reason my new computer with new OS and proper mobo and soundcard drivers is not playing sound through any speakers. I currently have a EVGA X58 SLI classified motherboard and a Creative...
