Sound Dynamics Speakers

You get the dynamics with real speakers that you don't get with headphones.
I miss being able to blast music loud through real speakers. Now that I live in an apartment in San Francisco, I can no longer do that without disturbing my neighbors. Unless I'm in my car, I am forced to use headphones to listen to music.
If you want the greatest Punk Rock experience of your life, listen to "No Sleep Til Hammersmith (1981)" by Motorhead *loud* through 12 inch speakers. Man, there is nothing like it!!

My choices are mixed, both 2.1 and 5.1. All the speakers will be on my computer desk so would there be a difference between the two? Also the 2.1 has more W. The prices for #1, and 2 are the same. #3 is about $30 more. I'm not sure which one to get. I'll use the speakers for mostly movies and games.

Go to your local Radio Shack, or equivalent and tell them what you are trying to do. That's what I did, they gave me the correct wires and now I play my computer games on my TV flat screen tv, which is much better and larger to see.

Alpine would be your best choice then Rockford Fosgate would be a good second choice.

Sony is never a good choice for amplifier or speakers. Some Sony head units are okay though.
