My computer's left speaker doesn't work so how would I trasfer the noise that would normally be in there to the right speaker along with the right speaker sound as well?
Click Start>>Settings>>Control Panel>>Sounds and Audio Devices. Check the Volume tab & the Audio tab for the settings.
You could go to Radio Shack & get the appropriate cable to make your one speaker have both channels of stereo. Or you could buy new speakers. About the same price either way

I have a Sony HT-DDW700 and a television with no output jacks. I don't have a cable box in my basement, despite io digital cable service. I'm assuming that its a different signal than the one from the box in my living room. So I have the RF cable from the wall to the VCR, an RF cable from the VCR to the tv, and audio RCA cables from the VCR to the a/v receiver. Yet when I listen to the channel, I only get sound from one of the speakers, front left I believe, and the subwoofer.
Is this because some channels aren't broadcast in surround sound, or maybe there's a problem with the way I have it connected through the VCR, or maybe I should only have a video cable going from the VCR to the tv rather than an RF cable?
Any help is greatly appreciated, as I am trying to get it hooked up before the Giants game this weekend. Thank you.
Check to be sure that your MTS or SAP have not been selected. This is for secondary audio (ie. some channels broadcasting in spanish and english). Be sure that the selection is in Stereo mode.

Hi folks
For some time now, I have only been getting sound from one speaker. This occurs regardless of using different speakers or the monitor speakers.
I've checked through to try and update device drivers and also device manager settings, but everything there appears to be in order. No problems are shown.
I've looked at the sound effects manager (AC97 Audio Control Panel) and again everything seems to be set correctly. Doing a speaker test proves that only one of the speakers is working.
Does anyone have any ideas?
Note: Acer Aspire SA80-Z970 desktop PC running XP with 3ghz Celeron D processor and on board sound. I also have Ubuntu Linux running on a separate partition on the hard disk and this kernel has the same problem.

Panasonic DVD home theater system. I connected the speakers to the woofer and played it. It sounded OK except there was no sound from the two 'surround' speakers and the center speaker. I rechecked and found that I had not connected the center speaker at all and in it's place had connected one of the 'surround' speakers. played it again and there was no sound from the speakers at all. Just a faint muffled one from the woofer! I hope I did not short and burn the speakers, though it is unlikely. I reched the +s and - s and they seem fine.
You need to reset the unit. But you may have selected an option you didn't want. More detail on exactly what unit you have would be nice. More than likely a multi channel in or tape monitor is selected. You also want to check by adding speakers on at a time to see if a blown amp is the problem.

Community: UX1 only outputting sound to one speaker
Well I thought I had a fix for this but apparently I don't. I recently bought a Line6 UX1 for recording and at first I tried plugging my speakers into one of the outputs and only got my left speaker to get sound. Then I ran up to radio shack and bought one of these thingys http://accessories.musiciansfriend.com/product/Live-Wire-14FDual-14M-Y-Cable?sku=331079 and an adapter to go from the 1/4 in. to the 3.5mm for my speakers. Then tried again and I am still only getting my left speaker outputting sound. If I plug my speakers into the headphone output they will both work but I get popping every once in a while and I would like to leave the headphone output for recording purposes. I have the latest drivers for the UX1 and the connections are good, I am stumped. Can anyone help?
